I wonder why the portugese teams doesn't make that much with the amount of money they get with the talents..
OK they are the Europe Leagues powerhouse after last year.. but I guess they have nice training grounds and invested there as I guess they can't make superstars joining the portugese league
And Wessels isn't good enough.. Thats why he got dropped from the Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga, Premier League and is playing in Denmark (sorry..)
By the way, how good is Sereno from FC Porto?^^

Not very good. He never actually played for us, we just sorta signed him because he was free and we needed a 4th center back

Villarreal didn't screw up and won 3-0, qualifying to the group stage. Bayern, Dinamo Zagreb and APOEL follow.
and a little bit of off-topic, kumazan, I think Sporting might be happy paying for Capel, because he was the only one who tried to insert the ball inside the goal and the penalty area in the last game... |

Worrying for Sporting if Capel was their most dangerous player, then.

... and even though Wessels did have some good saves, he should have saved both the goal to 1-0 and 3-0.
He also screwed up in the latest Danish League game, causing a penalty (and not saving it afterwards).
Point being: Wessels sucks, Roturn |

First goal was weird but for sure not a too hard one, 3rd goal definitely a must have.
So obviously he is much worse than I thought as I always liked him when he played in Cologne or other teams, where he wasn`t very bad. |

If it's any consolation, he'd probably be able to compete with De Gea if he played for United |

Actually nearly every decent goalkeeper would be able to compete in the Premier League against 90% of all goalies.

That's what you get when you pay attention to the hype the Madrilenian media always generates with Real Madrid and Atlético players.
I still think he has potential, though.

I generally don't watch Spanish football, but I really don't hope that he was as insecure in Atletico as he is in United now. |

Fenerbahçe kicked out for match fixing. Turkish media says Copenhagen will replace them, but the rules say it has to be a turkish club replacing them

Rules are clear at 2.07
2.07 If a club refuses to enter the competition, having qualified for it on sporting merit and obtained a licence from the competent national body, no other club from the same national association may be entered in its place and the access list for the UEFA club competitions (Annex Ia) is rebalanced accordingly; furthermore, in such a case, the coefficient of the association 4 concerned is calculated in accordance with the specific rule laid down in Annex II, point 6.
No turkish club can replace Fenerbahçe.
Otherwise i don't see a rule for replacement. I think it can be like a "wild card"

Get in Szczesny ! Great penalty saved, pleased for the lad as met him personally. Walcott made it 3-1 now, Wenger saved from massive embarrassment, for now at least.

Witsel of Benfica is an excellent player. He looks like a mushroom, though. |

So the 3rd in the German Bundesliga has the hardest group and the 1st the easiest.
Although Bayern was in pot 1 and Dortmund in pot 4.
A, B and E probably the hardest with A by far. |

Not the hardest group but not the easiest either. It will be hard to beat Chelsea, but beating Bayer should be within our reach.

To me, group F is the second hardest, group A is by far the strongest group. But in group F, Arsenal, Dortmund and Marseille should go really close. Should be some great matches, especially Dortmund - Arsenal should be 2 great games, with a lot of attacking football.
Though, supporting Spurs, I won't mind if Dortmund and Marseille grabs the two first places, leaving Arsenal behind |
