Did I really put so many strong riders in this race? This could perhaps be my strongest field, in terms of avg.
Anyways: GOGOGO! Voeckler!

That one was highly unpredictable, I wonder whether we will get that here? CSC and WWE will be very dangerous from a breakaway again and leaving it to last mountain stage will be dangerous.
If Rodas gets away again, you guys should spend more time watching film. A top 10 overall would be great, I'm glad I didn't sent Anton, some very strong climbers here. Good Luck to Everyone.

I really like your Fun Facts, roturn, and I know my team is often the youngest, but we aren't even competing in San Luis

Have you ever though about the reason why he calls that "FUN Facts"?

Thanks. I always make Excel startlists for all CT races to get a better overview over the participating riders. It`s also good to understand how PCM11 AI works for future race plannings.
And then it`s pretty fast done to get some averages...
If anyone has more ideas for fun facts, then send me a PM to avoid spamming this thread.
I think that this race can`t really be compared to Tachira. Easier stages imo but much harder startlist in climbs and sprints. Not sure if the mountains will be very selective. The ITT might be very important. |

Well, that doesnt bode well for this race, most of the Tachira stages were 'too easy' to lead to any significant GC racing themselves!

Fair point. Then let`s say both Tours don`t have very hard mountain stages. The peloton will ride into the first and also final climb with a very high pace and still pretty fresh. So no chance for big gaps. The only real gaps might be due to the narrow roads and effective attacks then.
Only the 2nd last stage is a bit harder as the climb is longer and already the 2nd on the stage, but still no comparison to GT or PT race mountains. |

Top 3 is the target though it's such a strong start list and I hope the team is strong enough to reel in any breakaways with a "Rodas" in it!
Valverde is the favourite for me, but if the mountains stages aren't that selective, then I can perhaps dream about the first overall victory for the team if that timetrial will pull out some decent gaps.

The Management Gazette Issue #2
The first HC Stage of the season will take place in Argentina, in the Tour de San Luis. rycardinho and his team will take part for the 2nd time in a row, and is keen on sharing their thoughts with us.
Q. Rein Taaramae has dominated the race since its introduction in 2010. With the estonian in the ProTour now, who do you think is the top favourite to the win?
Valverde is the obvious answer though I believe both Pozzovivo, Van Den Broeck and Volkswagen with Ratiy and Marzano can give the Spaniard problems.
Q. The Tour de San Luis is a typical one-week stage-race with 3 mountain stages and an 18km TT. However, most stages just feature one real climb, and the longest of them doesn't even reach the 200kms. What influence do you think these aspects can make in the racing?
I believe it will make the timetrial even more important, since we will see much bigger groups be together before those final kilometres uphill like Tachira were only a few riders could really make the difference, Alarcon as the example. Stage 2 and 5 are quite easy, except for some steep finishes but the stage that will have the biggest impact on the GC for me is stage 6, if we look away from the TT again. It's the last chance for anyone who can climb to either get a much needed stage win or advance in the GC and the stage is straight after the TT and another mountain top finish! Early attacks are the key though, since the difference can only be made on the first climb really.
Having reached the podium last year, with your former rider Jose Serpa (which loss you have compensated with the acquisitions of Roche, Castaño and Van den Broeck) you certainly will want to improve on that classification. What approach can we expect from your team?
Jurgen Van Den Broeck is our man for this race and I've putted together a team that is build around his qualities. We believe he has a chance to win the race, though he can't do it without some strong riders behind him. I don't expect him to win a stage, but he should be able to sit with the best climbers on the 3 mountain stages and then it's all about taking as much time on that time trial from the other GC Contenders. You will also see that Busche, Montaña and Dupont will make their debut and they are really fired up for this event. Carlos is a bit tired after Tachira, so he will first return to racing in Langkawi while Roche will make his season debut in Mallorca and GP Di Lugano.
Q. You have been tipped for a top10 placing in the CT Team Rankings in several occasions. What about promotion, do you think your team has what it takes to reach the PT?
I absolutely believe we will manage to end between the best 10 teams, which is also a goal of ours this year, though a bid for promotion will probably have to wait for at least one year. Some would say that we rely a bit too much on the three riders you mentioned earlier but with one or two new faces next year + the return of Aru and Puccio can I assure you that we will do everything to end in the protour. This year will give us a good indication about what we need to promote for the next season but let's perhaps talk about this topic again later on the season.

You two are right of course. Not sure how I mixed both statistics there as the averages are correct and also everything else was correct.
In fact Team WWE is of course by far the oldest and Oz Cycling the youngest. |

Haha! That's correct. All the good guys are old guys. They need all the young years for in ring training.
Anywho: Not bad, but I expect bigger results from Greipel.

Yes! I had the only rider to lose time on stage 1. And its cool that Brad Armstrong made it into the breakaway. (Something to put in his blog )

Congrats to Serebriakov (wrong spelling?)..
Good stage for Oz, too.. two riders in the break, Bobridge leading the KoM for one day and Haidar Anuawar finishing 5th is quite okay. Maybe Anuawar can even reach a better result here soon.
Valverde looks good. In PCM10 1.0.0.0. he would have won this sprint (Too bad there were no screens, but things like this happen in PCM, Kami.)

Valverde or Van den Broeck will win, that is my prediction.
Taking a chanse by sending both Ratiy and Marzano here, but hopefully they can do well, both in top 10 and 1 in top 5. Then I'm happy. Also hoping for a stage win (Schadlich) and some good sprinting from Loddo
