30 men arrived in the peloton at the foot of the last mountain and Stortoni was one of them. Soler turned out to be the strongest.

A lot happened in the race, but at the start of the last hill to the finish there were still 15 riders together. Pozzovivo was one of them, but he couldn’t battle for the win.

The peloton entered the last ten km and I thought it would be a masssprint, but suddenly two riders attacked and FDJ dropped the pace in the peloton. Scheirlinckx and Jacobs battled for the win, while my sprinter Modolo couldn’t do better than place seven.
Pirazzi could follow the favorites on the climbs (the top of the last one was at 30 km from the finish), but at the last, flat part of the stage he couldn’t follow when the others attacked.

Despite the attacks and the high pace, a sprint of the peloton couldn’t be avoided. Modolo was in a good position, but didn’t have the legs to win.

Nice, finally a win!
Was it the first of this career?
You should be able to get more wins with Modolo in these kind of races. In my career he is one of the best sprinters after 3 seasons and he even made world champion!
@ Housies: I think it's my fourth, but the first with Modolo. Modolo is finally in form, untill now Belletti had to do the sprints. I doubt he will be that good in my career, but he will improve a bit for sure . Thanks

Albert Achterhes Profronde van Drenthe (15/04-16/04)
The cobblestone sections were in the middle of the race and Modolo could just hang on in a small peloton. Ten km before the finish line Amorison escaped and the peloton couldn’t catch him.
Exactly the same stage as yesterday and again Amorison attacked and won, but this time with three other riders. Because of a crash in the peloton with 15 km to go a group of fifteen riders had to make clear who would be the winner. Modolo was one of them, but couldn’t do a good sprint. He ended seventh in the GC.
To use the new patch, I first had to reinstall my PCM. So I copied my screens, the results to another map so it would stay on my laptop and I could play along with my career. Ironically I forgot my savegame... Conclusions: I'm an idiot and an early end of this career. For the people who are interested: below you can find the races I played untill yesterday afternoon.

Giro del Trentino (19/04-22/04) GOAL: FIRST IN CLIMBER RANKING
1 Artem Sergeyevich Ovechkin Katusha Team 18'25
2 Andrey Mizourov Pro Team Astana + 13
3 Peter Sagan Liquigas-Cannondale + 17 30 Federico Canuti Colnago - CSF Inox + 40
Stage 2 (Mountains, mountain finish)
There was one mountain where we could gain points and the top of that mountain was at km 60. Stortoni, who’s task is to become KoM this tour won that one and is now leading with ten points. Di Luca turned out to be the strongest of the favorites, but he didn’t win. Marcato, who escaped earlier in the race, was the strongest. Leader of my squad Pirazzi didn’t do a good job.
1 Marco Marcato Vacansoleil-DCM Pro Cycling Team 4h42'00
2 Danilo Di Luca Katusha Team + 1'17
3 Yury Viktorovich Trofimov Katusha Team + 1'41 48 Stefano Pirazzi Colnago - CSF Inox + 3'18
Stage 3 (Mountains, mountain finish)
Two GPM-sprints today. At the first one Stortoni acquired six point and at the second one only two points. De Maar won both sprints and gained 32 points, while Stortoni only has 18 points. Basso won the stage by attacking on the last climb.
Again two GPM-sprints. At each one there would be ten points for the first who would reach the top. Tactic: Stortoni in the early breakaway and then start praying he has a good day. First of all De Maar wasn’t in the breakaway and Stortoni was. Stortoni won the first GPM-sprint and became second at the second one. Stortoni is the King of the Mountains in Trentino! The stage was won by Basso.
In a very dangerous final (left, right, up, down), the peloton couldn’t follow Canuti who did a perfect lead-out for Modolo. Modolo could finish the teamwork and also took the lead in the GC. Eight riders were 50 seconds in front of the peloton, among them Canuti and Modolo.
When Uran, Paulinho, Capecchi and several other favorites attacked on the last hill (top at 8 km from finish line), my riders couldn’t follow. Modolo got eight and is now fourth in the GC, 1’35 behind Uran.
The peloton didn’t ride today and therefore we have a new leader in the race. Phinney escaped early in the stage with three other guys and slowly dropped them. The American finished solo, nearly nine minutes ahead of the peloton. Modolo finished in the peloton and is now fifth.
1 Taylor Phinney BMC Racing Team 5h44'39
2 Eros Capecchi Liquigas-Cannondale + 8'38
3 Rigoberto Urán Urán Sky ProCycling s.t. 17 Federico Canuti Colnago - CSF Inox + 8'59
Stage 5 (Flat)
Again a good lead-out by Canuti, but this time Impey was stronger.
A lot of attacks on the hills in the final and Wegmann, Gilbert and Boasson Hagen were the strongest and had to make clear who would win this stage. Wegmann perhaps hasn’t the most sprint power in his legs, but he was the most fresh and won. Pozzovivo finished in the second group with 17 others.
Pirazzi did an early solo attack and got away, but halfway he was catched and immediately dropped by Trofimov. He won the stage and Modolo sprinted to the fourth place in a small peloton. Boasson Hagen is the leader and Pirazzi is the new KoM.
1 Yury Viktorovich Trofimov Katusha Team 5h08'07
2 Edvald Boasson Hagen Sky ProCycling + 7'34
3 JoaquÃm RodrÃguez Oliver Katusha Team s.t. 4 Sacha Modolo Colnago - CSF Inox s.t.
Stage 5 (Flat)
A bunch sprint. The KoM-competition has been won by Pirazzi.

Grosser Preis des Kantons Aargau (Hills, flat finish)
At the decisive hill Pozzovivo got blocked and lost contact to the group of favorites. I tried to close the gap to sacrifice Modolo but it didn’t help. The race finished in a sprint.

3 Mark Batty Team Spidertech Powered By C10 s.t. 5 Manuel Belletti Colnago - CSF Inox s.t.
Stage 3 (Mountains, mountain finish)
At the foot of the only climb of the day, Pirazzi and Pozzovivo accelerated. Navarro tried to follow but he couldn’t hang on and the peloton just waited without setting up a high pace. Pozzovivo quickly dropped his teammate and won his first race of the season. He is also the new leader of the race, while Pirazzi is ranked second.
With 120 km to go four sub toppers attacked, with Di Luca as the biggest name. I saw the danger and sacrified Belletti to close the gap a bit. He was totally empty when the gap was only one minute and than three others attacked and Nibali was one of them. I had the choice to join the contra attack or keep on chasing and I chose the first option. Pirazzi attacked to and now there was a group of eight men in the lead, without a rider from Lampre. But they didn’t put a very high pace in the back and so the peloton came too late to catch the attackers. Nibali turned out to be the strongest, while Pozzovivo finished as sixth.
1 Vincenzo Nibali Liquigas-Cannondale 6h23'10
2 Danilo Di Luca Katusha Team + 14
3 Michele Scarponi Lampre - ISD + 59
4 Alessandro Ballan BMC Racing Team + 1'15
5 Ivan Basso Liquigas-Cannondale + 1'35 6 Domenico Pozzovivo Colnago - CSF Inox s.t.
After winning the Giro, Nibali is also the best in the Italian Championship
