I want to apply as I'm crazy addicted to PCM and this site. I play maybe 3 nights a week and I read through forum every day. I have a serious competitive streak when it comes to management games and love all the analysis and re-thinking that goes with them.
2) How do we know you'll be active?
I'm on the site every day, maybe not posting wise as I read quite a bit, both stories and generally to get tips on how to improve my play.
I would say that my activity should not be a problem once we're in the thick of it!
I've already drawn up a shortlist and have looked at calendar with goals in mind.
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
Team Kingspan (Sponsors) will be Irish based.
For secondary riders, we will be forging our alliance with the USA.
Mainly because i am interested in these type of forum games, i have been lurking around at daily for a very long time. 4 years soon. So i know quite a lot about the game. And i played a simelar verison on Pcmnorge, another reason i would like to apply is that we can create our own teams. Some manager games lacks that. And because of the enormous database that the manager game has.
2) How do we know you'll be active?
Because i am quite addicted to manager games, and it seems promising, you need to be there for transfers, you need to set your goals, register for races. So i will be active.
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad to be based on?
Kazakhstan, mainly with a main sponsor: Qazaqstan Temir Zholy (the national railway company.)
I can make maillots myself. And i have at least 10 kazakhs on my shortlist that will be very interesting. Our main priority is: Dyadichkin.
I have been interested in the man-game since I joined and I have applied for it on a previous occasion. Since then I have still been following it and I have been waiting for another opportunity to join. I really got in to pcm and thoroughly enjoy the management as well as the game play. I would love to get the opportunity to take my management to a new level.
2) How do we know you'll be active?
When I first joined pcm daily I was very active and loved to get involved, however in the last few months I have been less active. This was mainly due to the exams that I have had over the last month and the build up to them. As I have just finished this is a perfect time for me to get involved. Also I have been a member for a year and a half and I plan to stick around for the considerable future.
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
I would like to create a team which is based in Croatia. They have a wide variety of riders who would allow me to create a well-rounded team. They also have many young riders with lots of potential, and as there is no Croatia team currently, their potential could go unfulfilled.Loborika Favorit and Meridiana Kamen Team with Continental licence.
For years now I've enjoyed all sorts of management games, and with my new interest in cycling which started developing in recent years, PCM has become one of my greatest obsessions. Add to that my good competitive and playful spirit, without any false modesty, I think I would make a good addition to the Man-game roster.
2. How do we know you will be active?
I would be playing to win, and you can't win without a lot of time and effort put into your work. Plus I already spend a lot of time daily on PCMDaily Plus the summer is coming 8)
3. Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
Since I have a great sense of ethnic pride, I would like my team to be from Serbia. And because cycling is not such a popular sport here, there are not that many good riders, we would have to go deeper into the Balkans to fill the team. Bulgaria will probably be our second option, if needed. For example, our only professional outfit Partizan - Powermove has riders mainly from Serbia, Greece and Poland.
In an effort to promote cycling and produce good results, we would probably be able to get a sponsorship from a large Serbian company, but everything will be decided when the time comes.
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?
If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord will delete my browser history.
1) Why do you wish to apply?
I wish to apply to the Man-Game because I am a huge fan of Cycling. Furthermore, I like Management Games like PCM or Football Manager. However, I always look for new challenges, as it is very different to play against real people as opposed to the CPU. In my opinion, the Man-Game will be the perfect new challenge for me.
2) How do we know you'll be active?
As some of you might know, I am deep into the Graphics section here on pcm.Daily. Up to know I made up to about 130 shirts. Furthermore Im reading stories and I am involved in 2 Database Projects, from Members on this forum. This will require great interaction with the DB Makers and, in my opinion, enough time on PCM.Daily.
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
I want the team to be based in Russia. Russia has a great Variety of Cyclists (Stage Racers and Sprinters). Furthermore I would like to keep the Team Eastern European with a slightly European/American Touch. Furthermore I would like to give young riders an opportunity to develop and built up a solid basis for future seasons.
PCM is a great game that we love, but it's not perfect, just yet. Man-Game perfects that in way that PCM doesn’t do. PCM is about racing, and that can be boring over time, there’s not much to do in the managerial part, and that’s where Man-Game comes alive. The struggles in the transfer window, trying to create your perfect team or picking your goals. Those are only few of things the managers have to take care of. The problems that managers face in real life and we want experience them. Idea of trying to train your rider as best as possible and getting their peak at just the right races. The feeling of victory when it comes, as a reward for your hard work as a manger. Those are the moments you have been working for, and that’s what the Man-Game gives – and I love it.
And going for more obvious reasons, Man-Game sounds and surely is loads of fun, most active people in PCM.Daily community have a team, and I think it is right time to make one for myself. I’ve read many reports from last year season and read almost all Teams HQ’s so far, gaining experience of how to write, layout and present it to the readers. Reading those reports gave me fair idea how the Man-Game works and I ready for the challenge. I really like idea of HQ, and I would love to have one as well. Trying to write the blogs, interviews and announcements sounds challenging but really fun, and I love writing.
I had thought of entering Continental Division, but a thought occurred to me to wait, and learn from the experience the new Continental managers have. It was good thought back then, overcoming my heart’s desire to send the application. I learned a lot how the Man-Game works offer past 5 months, when the first managers were selected in January to the transfer window now, trying to follow their actions. And as I said before I am ready now.
How do we know that you will be active?
Well, I have joined the site less than year ago, and I visited the site almost everyday couple of times a day. My post count might reflect that, I am one of those people that likes to write and voice their opinion, which I think is important part of Man-Game itself.
I have committed myself to various parts of this forum over the last year. I had Sky and Cofidis stories, both ended sooner than I wanted them too, but from that time, I didn’t want to start another story, because in my mind I had one thing, and that is to wait till PCM 11 and start grand story ( I hope ) with Sky, and that I hope will become reality quite soon. Having story going on, means I am on the website quite a lot, and I doubt that regularity would end.
Over the past few weeks I have been reading all the threads in the Rules and Announcements forum section to get an even better knowledge of the game. I’ve participated in Velogames Fantasy Cycling Competitions, always being active and winning the Giro Competition and coming 3rd in the Classics.
That’s enough I think. I think that you know I will be here if I get accepted, and even if I didn’t, I would still be here, reading the reports, writing my story and participating in discussions. I have been on the site 'daily' and posted 'daily' as well, so I can’t see me stooping now
How would you intend to manage your team, if you get one?
I had it clear in my mind to create a team of young and experienced riders. Looking at the Div II calendar we will focus on signing sprinters and punchers. We would focus on those two categories quite strongly, we will of course have few climbers in the team but the focus is on the latter. Not with much surprise looking at the type of signings we will want to make - our main sponsor will be Belgian. We now are in contact with arguably the biggest Belgian newspaper Het Niuewsblad, who as many of you know was already involved in Cycling. Nothing is as confirmed of, be we are quite confident the agreemtn can be reached within the next week. Though looking for secure future for our team, we will have second additional sponsor from Netherlands, who will play minor role with our team, but equally as important.
Already looking into the future, we have our targets on few important riders for us, though we have to wait patiently and see how will the Transfer Window look after the end of Continental singings, as for surely we won’t have all riders we would like to have. As with the rule 50% of our riders will come from Belgium, the other riders will come from Netherlands and France. We are confident we can make full roster of riders before the transfer windows closes, with 2 or 3 big signings, which we hope will win us the Div II league.
P.S. Hope that's enough. My first draft was twice long, so after agonizly shortning it down, hope now it is better to read, and not wall of text
This will be my third application, and hopefully i will be accepted this time. I wrote a pretty long post last time, and my reasons will be much the same as it is this time. I really like AI-games, and this i would think is the only really good one for PCM. More then that i don't really feel is necessary to say. I wrote something last year, that should not be to difficult to find, and i don't see the reason to just repeat myself.
How do we know that you will be active?
It is hard for me to prove anything, but i know that i would be active. I know a guarantee from a random name on the internet is worth nothing, but i still guarantee it.
I know my lack of activity puts me back in the line, but if i can have the same discussion in English or Norwegian, i prefer Norwegian, since (you may see it from my text) my written English kinda sucks. For this there is no real alternatives in other languages, so i can overlook my bad English, and still be active. I am also known for "trash talking" in competition. So much that in another similar competition (on Football Manager), everybody celebrated when i lost. That doesn't mean i am an asshole, but that i am not scared to be involved in "social" part of the game.
Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
My plan in the future when i can decide for myself is to have an Italian/Easter European team. There seems to be a lot of team wanting teams from different places in Eastern Europe, so i want my team for now to be Austrian/Swiss/Liechensteiner. If this is to wide a range, i would focus on Swiss riders. It may not be the best part of the world, but at least i don't end up having to pay overprices for domestiques, just because they are from the right country.
Really enjoy pcm in general, the stories, fan game etc. really add to the experience... im easily an addict to the game. I have a lot to learn in terms of this fantasy gaming but the interest is definitely there and i am amazed at the capabilities of this the pcm euphoria... so why wouldn't i want to be apart of it all and continental div 2 is definitely the best place to start for a rookie like me.
2) How do we know you'll be active?
well im new to pcm.daily but havent gone a day without visiting the site... i've just had no reason to really post though... my time has only been spent dissecting the famous Dark Dog and Garmin stories. If i were accepted i would then have reason and a medium through which to post my views.
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
Well im from South Africa and have a really good knowledge of African Cycling in general and so would love to showcase the South African and African riders in my team.
I have been playing PCM for 2 years and enjoy the game. I would like to expand my experience to sharing the competition with other managers.
I have three goals for wanting to play the Man Game in the CT2 Division. The first and most important reason is to meet new friends who share my love of cycling and gaming. Second it will give me a chance to learn more as I interact with other real life decision makers. Third and finally, I want to prove to myself and to the other managers that I can compete and work my way up to the higher levels of the game.
How do we know that you'll be active?
I am recently retired and have time everyday to devote to my hobbies. Gaming has been part of my life for over 20 years. I have organized and managed a computer hockey game for the last 18 years. We have changed game engines but the league has been active and successful for 18 seasons. I will bring that level of dedication to PCM if given the same chance.
What Nationality or Region would you like your squad to be based on.
Cycling in the USA is growing rapidly and while few know more than the top 5 races each season, support and recognition is growing. I live very close to the border between the USA and Canada and would like to have my squad based on North American riders. If the region is too large the then the USA or Canada.
My primary sponsor with be Eastman Kodak if I am granted the North American region or USA. If I am granted Canada as my region the primary sponsor will be Molson Brewing.
I've been on this forum for years however I've never decided to be active in the community. Following this thing was one of the things that made me consistently come back to this forum besides Alex's Columbia sprint story the Dan Martin personal story. I'm a PCM veteran now having played the game for the last 4 installments. I'd like to be able to show my management abilities in a more realistic forum as opposed to the virtual world of PCM where the teams and transfers are somewhat ridiculous. Also I feel this is a great time to try and get involved as this 2nd tier Continental Division fits straight in with my specialties. Every year in FIFA I've been devoted to taking an English League 2 side, the lowest in that game, up to the Premier League and to obtain a championship. It's something I love doing and this is right up my ally. I want to become an active member of this community and I feel this would be a great way to get to know the vets while showing off my capabilities and knowledge of cycling.
2) How do we know you'll be active?
This is probably the question that will make you think because you'll look at my registration date and look at my post count and will notice that there are some inconsistencies there. However, I can assure you that I will be an active member. I consistently come on to read stories, find discussion of things going on in cycling, and read up on news about the games. It's one of the bookmarks in my computer. Also I've been inactive on other forums over the internet, however, when I take on a huge project I find myself devoting a lot of time to do it, and finding time to do so. For example on a wrestling forum I found time to run a debate league about the topics formed like a wrestling promotion. When I was involved I wasn't really active on the board at all. If this is the reason why you don't think I can participate than you are very much mistaken. I will get into this and be dedicated just like anything else that I do. To me it's an opportunity to take my skills from FIFA, where I'm insanely dedicated to getting my teams up and taking it to cycling to one day create a dynasty and be #1 on the World Tour.
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
While I feel like I should create an American squad because that is my nation of residence I'd like my squad to be based in Australia. That country is getting a team with a huge budget in the pro peloton. As a result I feel that is a nation that is investing itself in the cycling world meaning that it will have many opportunities in the future. Meaning that as that nation develops as a cycling nation even further I could see myself taking on Aussies and Kiwis to bolster my squad as a base before expanding elsewhere to North American riders. My dream for a small team like this is to base it around Aussies and New Zealanders but not shy away from Americans and Canadians. After all what American doesn't want to go to Australia.
1) Why do you wish to apply?
I've been on this site for 4 years mainly to read the forum/ stories and to participate on the fantasy betting. Since I read about the Man-Game I was willing to participate, as I really like this kind of games, but I always lost the application period. I hope this will be time that I will finally enter the game.
2) How do we know you'll be active?
I'm very competitive... since I start participating in the game I will do my best to improve and achieve the targets. And I am used to participate in other games like that all-year long (e.g. soccer fantasy games) but now I will be able to do so in this sport that I really enjoy due to team management and strategies aspects.
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
It will be based in Brazil, using the existing free-agents in the DB. This team will be created based on a long term goal to have brazilian cyclists ready for 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro-Brazil. So it will be sponsored by public companies (e.g. Correios) and national banks (e.g. Caixa) and it will focus mainly on young riders.
1) Why do you wish to apply?
Hello. Like everyone on this forum, I love play PCM. However, I hate to play offline. That`s why I played online two seasons on the one russian site and I want to step to a new level. As you can see, I have a not good english and I want to study language much better with you.
I find PCMdaily few years ago. There is everything: wonderful shirts, great stages, many good friends, etc. In my opinion, the best is Man-Game, because it is better than career offline. That`s why I dream to apply to Man-Game.
2) How do we know you'll be active?
Well.. as I have said, I played two seasons on the one site and I found it very funny. Moreover, I play the Fantasy Cycling. I promise, I will be active ;)
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
I loved team of mrlol La Gazzetta dello Sport and I want to continue history of this great Italian Team. Secondary country will be Denmark... I don`t know why, but I love this country.
1) Why do you wish to apply?
I love cycling and pro cycling manager, so I think its time I get the best of both worlds. I'm very big on fantasy games and sports management is the only genre I play when it comes to video games. PCM Man-Game combines management and the wonderful sport of cycling.
2) How do we know you'll be active?
I'm on the site daily and I am a very active with a lot of other fantasy games PCM members create. I've got 2 months of vacation time, so I will be on 24/7 during transfer week to get the best team possible.
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
The team I want would be solely from the Czech Republic with a few other riders from neighbouring countries. After browsing through the free agent DB I counted 60 Czech riders most of which are free agents. Although a lot of the them average 60-65 I want a team I can build up. I was especially pleased with the young Czech talent Jan Hirt who at the age of 21 has a 76 in fighter! I was also grateful to notice no claims in the higher division transfers have been made...yet. I would probably want upwards of 80% of my team to be Czech to keep the sponsor of Skoda-KB(Komercni Banka) happy.
There goes my chance to be picked. My only chance was based on fact that my team should be from Czech Republic as the only one from applications
And of course i wanted my team to be built around great prospect Jan Hirt

Theres nothing wrong with having 2 teams from the Czech Republic And theres 3 questions in the application form anyway, we dont only look at Question 3.
As SN says, nothing wrong with 2 teams from a country. I can see that some GBR teams will be competition for my Irish riders, but it's just something to adapt to.
Fine, but i find it quite funny that two people has similar project in mind
So i am looking to frienldy rivalry and battle for talents if we are going to meet in man-game in the future
I want to apply because I’m a big cycling fan. I have almost all PCM-games (starting from CYM 4). My friend told me about this game. So I decided to read this board (I hadn’t take notice of it before, because it’s on the bottom of the forum menu). I think it a very cool game, mainly because it all about the managing part, which I’m a great fan of. I know I can create a nice team with very little money. This is what I did in PCM10, too. I created a small team, with almost unknown riders, and I’m winning with it. I think I can do this in the Man-Game too!
2) How do we know you'll be active?
You might not see me posting every day on this forum, but trust me, I’m very active here. Mainly in the Graphics board, because that’s my strongest point. I’m not a daily poster, but I am a daily watcher. I’m not reacting very often because I’ve my responsibilities on another cycling forum, where I’m moderator. But I keeping track of 5 different forums, including this one.
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
I would like to squad a team with British and Irish cyclists. I was planning on using one of my own shirts, that’s based on Great-Britain. To fulfill my team I will take riders from Australia and New Zealand
1) Why do you wish to apply?
I followed the game the last months and as a fan of management games I really like the idea of the game. I like building up a team, planning the season and finally wining everything. ;-) To compete with human players and talking about race results provides more attraction, too.
To put it in a nutshell: It just seems to be good fun.
2) How do we know you'll be active?
I´m playing PCM since 5 years and am member of pcm-daily for over a year now, visiting the site daily, to read news about pcm and dbs or to present self made stages. The probability I loose the excitement in the next time is very less. Maybe the main problem with my application is my small number of posts. I want to change that with activity in the Man-Game, but of course I don’t have evidence.
Last week I wrote my last exams this school year and now I have much time to build up a team.
3) Which nationality or region would you like your squad be based on?
My team would be based on Spanish riders. I think in Man-Game are very less (is there even one?) Spanish based teams. So with the remaining riders could be arranged a competitive team for hill and mountain stages. My favoured sponsor is the Spanish electricity supplier Iberdola. I don’t know much about this company, I just like the name and the colours of the logo.
