not exactly a bug or anything, but its been taking me an hour and counting just to open the .exe file of the 2011 Beta (torrent edition) in my documents. Is this normal for others who also downloaded the torrent version or is there any advice so that I might be able to speed this up. Thanks.

That happens to me quite alot, i think it is because its such a big file.

Ok thanks. I should have been more clear though. I know its because its such a large file its just... 1 hour! 
btw Ste117 just install the V2 and when it asks to overwrite or dont copy (when transfering files into the folders hit dont copy, as it could overwrite some of the files that were updated for the 2011 db but didn't get filename changes. No need to reinstall PCM10.

htc do not have specialized bikes or helmets... still on scott bikes and uvex helmets.
will that be updated in the full 'official' release of the 2011 db update?

Hi,
I've played until the 28/3 - 2011 without problems, but i have a problem with a race called Tour of Reservoir. I can't see the profile, simulate the stages or go on a short vacation, the game just close down. What to do? |

I can guarantee you this: All logos (not mini logos, just logos) and mini shirts work.
On the exact same version that everyone else have (which was the V2 + 2011 Updater), I have completed a season without any crashes and with logos and mini shirts for all teams.
If you don't have this, it's a problem at your end, not the DB's.

Which is his only race in 2011. So what's best? To let him be in the DB to ride that one insignificant race or to delete him, so he doesn't participate in significant races?

Obviously, it's not normal for a file to take 1 hour to launch. It's probably blocked by your anti-virus, UAC or whatever. Try to right-click it and "launch as admin".

If we are to update the equipment, someone has to make it. Until someone does, it stays as it is.

I uninstalled the game and installed it again in this order,
PCM 4.0.1 Patch
PCM daily Expansion pack
Expansion pack V2
Expansion pack V2- V2.1
Pcm daily 2011 DB 2010- 2011 updater
then copied local.cdb to documents/PCM folder and I clicked the TDF to see the stages and it crashed, Im miffed, what can the problem be, I will have a good look at it tomorrow.

@CrueTrue: I already tried that. I'll try some other things though. Write back when I get my solution.
@Ste117: I know I told you to not over-write anything earlier, but now that you've re-installed your game you want to be over-writing whenever it asks you as you move the files over, as long as you install the db's in the order you said you tried previously.

Found the problem it's down to the gene_i_age_decline figure being outside of the parameters.
All I did was to reduce all figure 41 and above to 40 and it works. |
