We are a bit of a one man team here - JL will be under pressure to deliver though I am hope full of a top ten on the big mountain stage.
He held himself together well in that TT finishing ahead of some rivals. Ikea's tactics will be interesting now, do they try and go for three top tens or the overall victory or both!
Ricco has to attack of course...
Some other interesting lurkers Anal, the Tinkoff duo, Lloret (who as been average on climbs this year), Kessiekoff and Martinez should be a good last two stages!

Abal, not quite mission accomplished, now the aim will have to be to hang on to second, although a second on Taaramae, means I just have to stay with him and hope for no bonus seconds.
Also if Larsson is made leader (evil grin) then I have an excellent shot

Since he has dissappeared, I dont mind voicing this out loud - I do wonder sometimes how on earth IKEA are managing to lead the division.
What sort of stupid decision is it to send your 3 best riders: Alarcon, Taaramae, Larsson, all to the same stage race? If youre lucky only one of them will be wasting their race days - and here, Larsson takes over race lead, so with any luck, will be attacking and failing on the climbs, as Taaramae sits in the peloton.
Oh and also, he failed to max out Taaramae. The Estonian will end the season at Level 4, and 92 xp.

Did you see Vanspeybrouck?
That's why he's winning, oh and Taaramae has been nigh unstoppable this season.

Fine ride by Hesjedal, even though he needs to be at his best to end in top 10!

Any other team they'll all have probably ridden for Larsson. IKEA managed to get two riders attacking away from him. |

well, not quite. but 2nd is a good result, although my helpers all being outside the top 70 grates when they are all good climbers, I guess working on the flat hurt them.

Mixed feelings for me - good to see JL Augustyn give it a go and fair enough that he could not live with Ricco and Lloret.
He dropped down a bit at the end which was a shame as he could have possibly sneaked into the top 10 on GC. But then Orozco managed to stay in the main group which is really pleasing.
Ikea have absolutely kicked butt here - the thing with Alarcon is that his mountain stat is that much better. But agreed if it had been any other team Alarcon would have been burned off on the flat or something.
No other team looks set to have a super duper race really here.
We are hoping for a better sprint performance on the final stage - though we feel it may be one for Trusov he is a fab sprinter.

They are a swedish team, nuff said :-p
I find it strange that Noval seems to be my leader, but he's doing well, so I wont complain. Gogo spanish power (I gave him some beef for this race )

Yeeessss that feels very good! Our 10th stage race victory of the season and our first in HC company since the Tour Down Under and certainly came from an unexpected course.
I guess we always have to watch the shorter stages a bit carefully. The slightest incline can be actually more severe than we expect.
Adam Hansen is becoming the new Arashiro - superb performance by by road captains Hansen and Jamie Ball there certainly making up for a slightly disappointing GC performance.
fenian - welcome to the reporting team, I enjoyed your reports humour and I thought stage 4 was the pick. The suspense on the Abal and Taaramae battle was excellent.

Very nice, the team should be able to end in top 20 if Serpa continues to perform in Portugal.
