Paris - Nice Stage # 5

We have to take care of the race because Robert Gesink (RAB) is the leader by 13" on Fabian Cancellara (SAX).

We also need to chase for some breakaways who want to win this stage.

This is a stage for sprinters.

After our team brings the breakaway to a dead-end, the Quicksteps and Garmin take the lead for the peloton.

Tom Boonen strikes in this stage. Unfortunately for Brown, he was unable to follow Bennati (LIQ) in the final km and finish way far from the winner.

1. Tom Boonen (QST)
2. Tyler Farrar (GRM)
3. Robbie McEwen (KAT)
16. Graeme Brown (RAB)

Paris - Nice Stage # 6

The profile is for climber, our leader Robert Gesink (RAB) must protect his leader jersey to keep him self in the lead to the victory of this 2010 edition.

In the start of the Montagne de Lure climb, Christophe Moreau (GCE) was the first to attack and makes a good gap over the rest of the peloton.

Sandy Casar (FDJ), Damiano Cunego (LAM) and Robert Gesink (RAB) put on the speed and escape of the peloton with 3 km to go.

And with 1 km to go Robert Gesink (RAB) attacks again to try to reach Moreau.

That was really close.

img62.imageshack.us/img62/6418/moreau.png

1. Christophe Moreau (GCE)
2. Robert Gesink (RAB) + 8"
3. Sandy Casar (FDJ) + 1'12"
4. Kim Kirchen (KAT) + 1'12"
5. Damiano Cunego (LAM) + 1'52"

Some change happends on the general classification.

1. Robert Gesink (RAB)
2. Christophe Moreau (GCE) + 1'13"
3. Kim Kirchen (KAT) + 2"35"

Tirreno - Adriatico Stage # 4

A day for Italians.

img828.imageshack.us/img828/5846/pozz.png

An attack with 3 km to go by the race leaders break the peloton. Young star Edvald Boassen (SKY) was a little bit too late to counter.

1. Filippo Pozzato (KAT)
2. Luis Leon Sanchez (GCE) + 12"
3. Frederik Willems (LIQ) + 12"
4. Denis Menchov (RAB) + 12"
5. Edvald Boasson Hagen (SKY) + 26"

at the general, E.B.Hagen (SKY) has now 38" lead in front of F.Pozzato (KAT) and 1' in front of D.Menchov (RAB).

Paris - Nice stage # 7

The punchers could do this one easier than the others.

Damiano Cunego (LAM) and Fabian Cancellara (SAX) were the most active at the end of the stages. They keeps attacking each other in the last 5km of the stage.

Robert Gesink (RAB) is only watching Christophe Moreau (GCE) and Kim Kirchen (KAT) who are in 2nd and 3rd place of the general.

A terrific counter attack by Gesink (RAB) on Jerome Pineau (QST) were Kirchen (KAT) could not follow in the last 500m.

1. Damiano Cunego (LAM)
2. Fabian cencellara (SAX) + 0"
3. Jérôme Pineau (QST) + 22"
4. Robert Gesink (RAB) + 22"
5. Kim Kirchen (KAT) + 35"
6. Benoit Vaugrenard (FDJ) + 35"

Now only big trouble can make Gesink (RAB) out of the final win with only 1 stage to go. He's now 2'08" advantage on Kim Kirchen (KAT).

Volta Catalunya Stage # 4

Hill stage where the "big one" can win.

Maybe Juan Manuel Garate (RAB) attack too earlier in the last climb and that's why he cracks in the last 200m of the stage. He also lost his helper in the star of the last hill at 15 km of the finish line. They were not in a good day.

Double shot for Ezequiel Mosquera (XAC), stage and leader jersey in that day.

1. Ezequiel Mosquera (XAC)
2. Igor Anton (EUS) + 8"
3. Sandy Casar (FDJ) + 35"
11. Juan Manuel Garate (RAB) + 1'44"

Nice result! A pity Garate cracked, but he managed to win a stage. Still in lead for top 10 GC I guess?
