Sorry for the delay, but my exams finish tomorrow, which means after that, the stages will be posted in a steady pace. |

Too bad that Loddo couldn't take the stage win but I'm happy that he and Bernucci managed to help each other for once.

Nice wheelsucking by Haider there on what was a successful stage for Red Bull Cycling with young Matthews making the breakaway for his first significant action of a long season.
Two crucial stages next, the long 'hilly' one where we are looking to see if things stay together and of course Genting.
The countback of the favourites reveal second string climbers (in this race anyway!) Kessiekoff and Bosisio in a good position to snatch a top ten if they can stay with key groups.
Here is an update of the countbacks of some of the best team leaders last stage position in brackets:
1. Kessiekoff 80 (24)
2. Bosisio 86 (40)
3. Carrera 198 (100)
4. Van der Broeck 253 (49)
5. Serpa 267 (74)
6. Asterloza 316 (54)
7. Samwel 318 (99)
8. Alarcon 318 (79)
9. Nazaret 327 (101)
10. Lopez Garcia 342 (109)
11. Gil 343 (121)
12. Siutsou 369 (118)
13. Kohl 394 (111)
14. Petrov 409 (137)
15. Stetina 413 (138)
Some of the notable names like Petrov, Siutsou, and Lopez Garcia could do with getting some sort of time bonus on stage 3! |

I'm amazed that Haedo still leads.

I have to confess, like beagle I am frustrated at the lack of pace in the reporting. These 4 to 7 length stage races surely should not be be taking longer than 2 weeks to report on.
Probably being a bit unfair here, but it would be nice to see a new result at least once every other day at least.

You're being a bit unfair really, but you'll see new results already today as it's my first day that I can sit in front of the computer and stay there for more than one hour.
EDIT: My apologies to you all and to SN, but it was impossible to report before than today.

No complaints from me - despite transfers being a tad later in the year this year than in 2009, we are way ahead in terms of races played compared to last year. June/July/August are always likely to be 'slower' months in the man game.

He said he was just finished with exams
That means that we should be glad he hasen't reported yet, that means he got a life and (my guess) he's been out celebrating!
High five from me untal!

Pah, I was being a bit grumpy earlier today and I am sorry for that.
Didn't want to direct at you untal, did not want to see a paralysis in what has been an enjoyable campaign so far. I guess I was poking at the fire a bit to see if the embers would flicker to life
The quality of reports have been outstanding by the way *shameless creeping*! |

No problem with that, it's me who has to excuse.
4 and 5 are already raced and will probably come tomorrow (or today) night as I have a party to attend in the afternoon. |

Ptth, pathetic results for a hilly stage. Nobody putting the mountain goats under any pressure at all. Great sprint win, a superb race for Unicredit.
The eve of the big one then...
Here is an update of the countbacks of some of the best team leaders last stage position in brackets:
1. Bosisio 124 (38)
2. Kessiekoff 125 (45)
3. Carrera 202 (4)
4. Van der Broeck 271 (28)
5. Serpa 300 (33)
6. Asterloza 347 (31)
7. Lopez Garcia 388 (46)
8. Alarcon 398 (80)
9. Samwel 411 (93)
10. Nazaret 430 (103)
11. Siutsou 437 (68)
12. Gil 440 (97)
13. Stetina 465 (52)
14. Kohl 469 (75)
15. Petrov 482 (73)
I cannot believe Alarcon, Serpa and Kohl will not attack. It remains to be seen who will finish behind and how, though a suspect a group will come through together. Kessiekoff and Bosisio appear well placed. |
