It's not hard to lean the few phrases they learn on captions is it? It's done for the American audience i'm sure of it. They only started last giro, and which american fella' went there?

To be pedantic, Gerdemann's win happened before Voigt taking the Paris-Nice lead

didn´t know but the german eurosport showed first paris-nice and then (not live) tirenno-adratico
all the guys wearing white closes at the today´s tirenno stage are even more unsatisfied with the weather than the rest of the peloton...

Boonen won!
So he can still sprint...
And quite bad by Liquigas. They were in full control, but failed on getting the win.

It was a nice sprint by Boonen. It seemed like he was fading away, but he resisted pretty well.

I think Paul Martens's sprint was even more impressive, considering his position at the time the sprint started. He almost beat Boonen. Didn't know he could sprint that well.

On the vid i saw, it looked like Bennati's lead-out man wasn't sprinting fast enough, or was it a slightly uphill finish? (Vid wasnt very clear)

It was slightly uphill.
Liquigas did a great job, they were superimpressive in the last couple of km's. |

Yeah. Had Martens went into the final km no more then 3 places behind Boonen, he'd have won - no doubt. He had to do an effort somewhere between 1km and 500m, and then start his sprint even before Bennati did.
No idea where he suddenly got that from. Freire slightly dissapointing so far though looking ahead at Milano Sanremo. Maybe it's just the weather |

When I saw Martens sprinting from long disctance, I just thought "man Oscar must be dumb to start sprinting this early...wait...Oscar was world champ, right? oh he must be even more dumb to forget his shirt with the WC colors...wait...this guy isn't Oscar"
German sprinting power

Well, since Quick Step hasn't been doing a good job last year at making a leadout train for Boonen (as he was always alone in the final km), he's gotta have someone to help him. |

Anyone else feel this is not a good way to show far there is to go.
It's too big.
French TV has it right, small but noticable.

Great win that for Bennati, especially after yesterday's spectacular flop.
And I hadn't noticed that before Doddy - bet it will really annoy me from now on. |

It only anoyed me because it was so darn big. Almost the entire top of my screen is filled with that and the eurosport logo.
