Hummel stays with CT Cycling
(Press release)
In the first step of rebuilding the team, Danish sportswear company Hummel has announced that it has extended its contract with CT Cycling, the company behind what's currently known as Team Spyker Cars.
Hummel is a long term supporter of Spyker Cars and has provided the team's sport- and footwear for years. This partnership will continue for at least one more year.
All other sponsors have decided to activate the relegation clause in the contract, leaving the team in a difficult situation. Team owner Mike Jensen is confident, though, that CT Cycling will be on the roads next year.
"We're in talks with several companies which is only natural given the history and talent we have at this team. We're a good brand to be associated with, and I'm sure we'll be signing deals very soon," he says. |

Festina manager talks of great relationship with Spyker Cars manager
Fellow danes Mike Jensen and Andreas Jøhnke has been seen talking a lot as of late, and the press has been speculating on whether or not Thomas Dekker could be on his way to the Pro Tour team Festina.
No we haven't been discussing Dekker much lately. I respect the fact that Mike seems to have a renewals agreement with Thomas and we won't be interested in interupting that. We have been talking a bit about mutual interests. I have every reason to want Mike, and the team back in the Pro Tour. We have a good relationship, and there's a good chance that we can benefit from each others experience within the game. As of late we have been discussing the future season of several of Spyker Cars talents in the team. Riders that could use another year in the Pro Tour to develop as a rider, in order to help Spyker Cars survive when they hopefully join up with the Pro Tour in a seasons time. Riders such as Daniel Teklehaimanot, Blel Kadri, Arthur Vichot and Emilien Viennet has been on the drawingboards while Festina are likely to sign a few talents whom could probably need some steady improvements from the Pro Continental Tour.

CT Cycling with top quality equipment
(Press release)
Despite being in the 2nd tier in the next season, CT Cycling will continue being a top team to be at.
As we announced recently, Hummel will continue to make and provide clothes for the team, including an all new team jersey that's going to be revealed soon.
And today, we're proud to announce two new sponsors who both qualify for the term top quality.
Lapierre, the French race bike maker, will provide frames for CT Cycling in the upcoming season while Mavic, also French, will make sure that the teams gets to ride with the best wheels and the best helmets in the industry.
"With these new partnerships announced, we are very excited about the direction this team is heading. I'm confident we will come back stronger than ever before," team owner Mike Jensen says. |

French bank signs contract worth of millions
CT Cycling has taken yet another huge step towards rebuilding the team.
As of next season, Groupe Caisse d'Epargne, the French banking group, will return to the peloton and back CT Cycling.
Caisse d'Epargne has signed a partnership contract that will contribute significantly to keep the team running and performing in 2013.
"With Caisse d'Epargne, we have found the perfect partner for the future. We are extremely proud to become associated with such a strong brand and a company that has a great passion for our team and our values," team owner Mike Jensen says.
Caisse d'Epargne has signed a deal that allows the company to show its logo and name on the 2013 team jersey. The team's name sponsor is yet to be revealed. |

CT Cycling signs Vueling as new head sponsor
CT Cycling and Vueling, one of the major low-cost airlines in Spain, have signed an agreement that will let Vueling Airlines become the head sponsor of CT Cycling. The team will therefore be known as Team Vueling Airlines in the 2013 season.
"Winning and team work, is what Vueling has been about from the outset," Vueling's Chief Executive, Alex Cruz, said. "Endurance and passion are some of the other features that we have in common. We are proud that we now will have the opportunity to highlight these values and show what sports and business can do together."
For team manager Mike Jensen this is also significant and very good news that are promising for the future.
"Now we can focus on the next big task - promoting to the Pro Tour - knowing that we have the possibility to build a team for the future with Vueling. We are very ambitious and with Vueling on board we have found the best possible partner for this project," says Mike Jensen.
The team will register itself as Spanish, but will continue to have a European focus that suits Vueling as well as the team's other sponsors.
With a new sponsor, CT Cycling asked the well-known designer ANFreeman to come up with a design - and he truly delivered. We sent a few of our riders on a training ride, using the equipment designed by another legend, KenL, and you can see the outcome below.

Due to the lack of good cobblers in PGF - Armavias region, they are forced to look elsewhere in their search for competetive riders in classic races, and riders with central asian inherance would be a priority.
Arman Komyshev could quite possibly be a great addition to their squad with his skills and nationality being exactly what their looking for.

Vueling Airlines shaping up for 2013
Press release
Pro Continental-ranked Team Vueling Airlines have managed to secure the signature from 23 of its riders from 2012.
After difficult rounds of negotiation where most riders were asked to cut their own wages, the team is happy to announce that just two riders have decided to leave: Vladimir Gusev who therefore ends his 2nd term on the team and long-time servant Egoi Martinez de Esteban who is still yet to decide whether he's going to keep riding for yet another season.
However, team leaders such as Thomas Dekker, Patrik Sinkewitz and previous Tour de France winner Stijn Devolder have decided to stay with the team.
These riders will be the foundation of Team Vueling Airlines that will be fighting for promotion to the World Tour in the 2013 season. After years of high activity on the transfer market, team manager Mike Jensen doesn't expect much to happen this time around.
"We feel confident that this group of riders which consists of a good mix of top class riders, who could easily make it to World Tour teams, and very talented youngsters can bring us back to the top straight away," he says. |

Vueling bounces straight back to Pro Tour
Team Vueling Airlines is back in top class of cycling in the upcoming season!
After relegation to Pro Continental in 2012, the goal was to bounce back immediately - and the riders truly delivered.
The team, led by Dutch stage racer Thomas Dekker, won four stage races, three classics and 14 stages, among many other excellent results, which was enough to secure a 3rd spot in the overall Pro Continental ranking and direct promotion to Pro Tour.
Dekker showed the way for the entire squad by winning Tour de l'Ain, Clasica a Quetzaltenango, GP Sudkarnten, Vuelta a Burgos and Tour of Hellas - which was also enough to receive the title as the best rider in Europe.
New recruit Peter Kennaugh also proved his worth to his new team by winning four stages, several points jerseys and the historical classic GP Ouest France - Plouay.

New assistant manager to Vueling
Team Vueling Airlines has made its first signing prior to the 2014 season: a new assistant manager.
Jesleyh will be joining the team ahead of the transfer season and will be in total control of the team during this important period.
Meanwhile, the team manager, CrueTrue, has decided to offload on a beach somewhere long gone from the stress of the transfer season. |

What!? I guess it's smart to pick one of the only active members not in the MG. Will he stay on during the season? That surely wouldn't be allowed.

Oh, are you really ready to lose your whole budget on a Kelderman offer, CT?
I hope you instructed him well, your team has a great variety of talented riders I wouldn't mind luring away
Anyway, welcome Jesleyh!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys
Yeah, I've been regretting not applying a bit, and Crue planned a holiday during the transfer season, and we already had contact because of the Daily DB, so well, this seemed a good solution.

I'm going on vacation tomorrow and won't be home or online for two weeks. As there's a good chance that the transfer season will begin during this period, Jesleyh is 'hired' to help me bid for the riders I've shortlisted. |

Kelderman is safe, Cio.
CrueTrue forbid me to bid on Kelderman
I've got clear instructions, and Crue spent a lot of time explaining stuff to me(I admire his patience ), so it'll be allright and I won't ruin the upcoming season. Or at least that's what I hope.
