Given how most flat stages at the Tour look, I should think so.
In terms of pure speed, I'd say he's capable of matching the best, but his inability to climb and position himself means that he rarely gets a chance to challenge them.
Wait what? Will he even ride the tour? He is not on Blanco's long list...

Bos beated Cavendish already in his first month as a road cyclist. Nothing new. Now if Renshaw can lead him out like he did in 2011, who knows what's possible

It was just hypothetical thinking.
EDIT: CountArach takes revenge for Goss' close miss on Tuesday
Too soon
But seriously I saw that reported on a general news program (like a non-sport one) and they said "The surprise winner was Arnaud Demare". I almost screamed at the TV - I would tip Demare over Matthew "Second-every-time" Goss any day.
If that shiny line on the ground in the finish shot (2:39) is the finish line itself, Bos nearly threw away a whole bike lenght of advantage to Greipel to take the win by not much more than millimetres...
Also quite funny, due to the huge gaps, Greipel actually has a shot at the GC.
From today's front group, I only rate Roelandts and Boom better on the hills, and you never know how good the Gorilla does

Well, I don't know the parcours this year, but last year Cav won due to bonus seconds and holding on in the hilly stages.
