With 16 saves, Timm Howard became a goalkeeper with the biggest amount of saves in one match, in the history of World Cup.
Well, deserved.

Wow. The most beautiful game of football I've ever seen, honestly. I'm dead tired of watching it, my heart did overtime today.
This is a Belgium to be proud of. But hats off to the goalkeeper of the USA. |

What a game!
According to Wikipedia 38% do as their first language and 48% as their second.
That's 86% of Belgians that speak a considerable amount of French.
Edit: That Wondolowski miss hurts bad. 99% sure Donovan would have buried that in the back of the net.

That's in theory. Truth is that many of those 48 (who speak Dutch as their native language) don't speak 4 words French.
But in this football team, I think they all do.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure those numbers are inaccurate, the 38% seems about right, but English is definitely second. I think I know where the numbers are based on, but 86% is an absolute overkill.
Still shaking a bit, that game was so good. Tim Howard was really good and the US played along very well. 10-5 would've been the correct result
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Not only WC, but football generally. That was my point few pages ago. Not that I care, though.

What the hell would I watch it for?
I can do a lot better things than watch some shitty MLS play.

I love hockey, baseball and tennis too. But when there's no one left for me to root for, I don't pay much attention to them either.
Hell, when none of my favorite riders are in a cycling race I rarely give it my full attention.

Firstly, MLS isn't shitty league - it's pretty decent, if you ask me.
Secondly, isn't football supposed to be watched because of actual football and beauty of this game (tonights game f.e.), not because of supporting that or that?
Thirdly, you can watch pretty much every European decent match. They're always in late hours (20:45 CET for CL and 22:00 for some Spanish/Italian league matches), so I am fairly sure you can watch that too.
But yeah, I get your perspective and point. See ya in Russia, 2018 then.

Ha, no appreciation of any sport in general. You can always root for someone, but perhaps you just fail to see the beauty of sport from a neutral standpoint? Okay then

1. After watching the world cup, the pace and intensity that football brings can make a guy fall asleep.
2. Not the way I see it. I love cycling, but without someone to cheer for what's even the point?
3. Didn't know you had American TV channels in Serbia so you knew all about it. I know BEIN plays the matches sometimes but it's really at random. MLS is the only thing they broadcast regularly and that's usually on the local channels. So I can watch the Red Bulls, but that's about it. That brings me back to #2.
And you won't see me in Russia, I'll be home here in the USA in college I think.

I really don't feel like arguing but I fail to see how me not watching the rest of the WC makes me less of a supporter.
As strange as it is for me to say it but I have to side with BBL. Why watch if you have no one to root for? What's so wrong with that, doesn't mean I hate the sport any less. I do the same thing with Hockey, Basketball, Football, Baseball, etc.
I've been a USMNT supporter my whole life, choose to play soccer over basketball as a kid (I'm 6'7" to remind you), so I would preferred not to be labeled as someone who doesn't care until every 4 years when I have the proof to back it up.
Fun fact: I don't follow any club soccer because I don't have a team to root for. It will stay that way until Michigan gets it's MLS team.

I somehow get your all other points, Mre, except "Why watch if you have no one to root for?". Who do I root for? As you probably know, Serbia isn't in this WC, so why the heck am I even watching it? Should I stop doing it? No.
One of the best thing in footballl is watching it from neutral standpoint. Shame you two will never get that feeling.

It's typical american tho, to give up on watching if their team is out.
It's nothing football fans are used to. I mean. Poor Feyenoord fans would have nothing to watch all season if they followed the same rules |
