Double Feature | THE END
PCM rulezz
After a long break on this forum I will be back, and I will follow your story again.

And damn, I've missed a lot, Willy won 3 stages and is wearing the yellow jersey. I've only one word for that: AMAZING. Grin
Winners never quit, quitters never win.

It's difficult not to be happy when you're surrounded by Belgians. - Mark Cavendish

Wow Shock

Willy Wouters doing what he does best Wink great job Ian

A Great win for Willy Grin

And a big pat on the back to Costa for being there for you Smile

Rui Costa is the Ritchie Porte of Argos. Super domestique!

Ollfardh - You might be right, it's early. Then again, Willy needs to gain time on Froome before the final time trial...

PCM rulezz - Willy's achieving his true potential this Tour Wink Glad to see you back! For a small summary what happened while you were gone, the first post still holds their resume in short Smile

Daggen - Indeed Pfft

Jakstar22 - Thanks! So far so good, I'd say!

sutty68 - Costa is priceless. I don't think Willy would have that yellow if Costa decided not to come.

wogsrus - He sure is!

Just finished the next stage, what a thriller it was for me! Coming up in a half an hour, maybe a bit sooner!

Tour de France - Stage 12 (- 14)

Preview

Willy: Today I'll probably feel yesterday's effort, but everyone will! I must admit I'm not even thinking about attacking today. It would be so amazing attacking in the yellow jersey, but I'm not stupid and only slightly cocky (wink). I will defend this jersey and I count on everyone in the team to help me!

The Race

Willy Wouters

The team did its work as expected, but we lost men fast!

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/tdf1202_zpsee360246.jpg

Soon we were only left with four of us. I wasn't panicking, but I did start to worry.

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/tdf1203_zps579d8cf7.jpg

And then, I think God came down from earth and took control over Geniez. You should've seen him. He climbed and climbed and climbed, keeping the pace so high it was hard for everyone to follow, including me!

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/tdf1204_zps0ab13537.jpg

After a stroke of genius, even he had to drop out. Then the attacks came! Nibali and Rolland. Everyone was looking at me, so I tried to bring them back. I had to!

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/tdf1205_zpscaa9d3f2.jpg

It was too much for me. I tried to keep going but just as I was about to catch Nibali, others attacked out of my wheel.

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/tdf1206_zps4a7c01a9.jpg

I tried hanging on. And today I was a cat, with nine lives. Eventually, Nibali was never caught and won. By some miracle, I found Contador's wheel and he dragged me to the finish line in the same time gap. This was close, too close!

Aftermath

Man that was close there! The two flat stages, we got help from Team Sky for the sprint, luckily! Three mountain stages and a time trial remain as important GC stages. I'm starting to believe in my chances, but it'll be incredibly hard. I still stand by my first opinion, though, top 5 would be amazing, too!

Stijn's got some good news, this is the mail he sent me!

Hey Willy,

You're doing one hell of a job there in France! What happened to you, grew a pair of wings? Damn, man, wearing yellow and everything. Just tell me, who'd you bribe to let you escape? Pfft

Just kidding, man. I've got some great news! Actually I've got a lot of good news. Firstly, I just finished my first real training after the injury. I'm pretty good, and I should be ready for the Eneco Tour. Especially since you're already up to 10 season victories and I'm only up to 8, we can't have that! Wink

Secondly, I might have ensured our future for another three years! I've had some negotiations with different WT teams. Radioshack was interested but they wouldn't give you a contract, so I had to say no. But there is one team with interest and budget for the both of us! We'd both get a leading role. Can you imagine that, the both of us leading an entire team? Amazing!

Well, good luck in the rest of the Tour, mate. But try not to win anymore, you're already up too many victories, give me a chance to counter!

See you later,
Stijn

PS. Forgot to tell you, the WT team interesting is Vacansoleil - DCM!

Bikex
vacansoleil sounds good especially with both of them as team leaders Grin

Jesleyh
Oh, the GC battle is so close now! Willy is doing such great work. And glad to hear that Stijn's getting allright

And the new WT team is awesome, Vacansoleil!
It probably was my second choice  Pfft

Wonder who you'll sign for Vacansoleil, probably half of the current Lotto team will suddenly ride for Vacansoleil Pfft

Great bit of damage control there. Willy still in yellow, hopefully he stays in it!

Ollfardh
I sense a rivalry with Thomas De Gendt coming up Grin

Nah, Vacansoleil is a good choice. People to help Stijn with the classics and enough mountain support for Willy. Though Argos is pleasantly surprising me on that last part.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Daggen
GO WILLY THE SPRINTER!!!!
Vacan seems like a good team

sutty68
It will be Great to see Willy do battle with Contador and Froome in the final week Smile

Ian Butler
Bikex - It really does sound good, I love that team Pfft

Jesleyh - I don't think many Lotto riders will be there. I don't know if you realize this, but Vacansoleil is one of my favorite teams in real life, maybe even my second favorite team, after Team Europcar.

wogsrus - It'll be tough, but Paris is getting closer!

Ollfardh - Well, there are three Grand Tours, plenty for all Wink Vacansoleil has some great riders that are able to help both of them in their work.

Daggen - Thanks Wink

sutty68 - It'll be great, but damn exciting Pfft I never thought he'd be here in this Tour. I wonder where he can finish!

Tour de France - Stage 15 - 16

Preview

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/tdf1501_zpsd9b2c094.jpg

Willy: To be honest, I hope I won't have to fight today. My form is going down a bit and I hope to be able to rest a bit longer!

The Race

Willy Wouters

We let the breakaway go away easily. By letting them go, we hoped to avoid a nervous peloton at the end of the stage.

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/tdf1502_zps6481e9a2.jpg

And I'm in luck today. My legs weren't that great, but there wasn't any battle today. Nobody attacked and it was a sort-of-a-rest day.

i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u569/IanButlerPCM2/tdf1503_zps56272343.jpg

In the breakaway, it was Sep Vanmarcke who celebrated the win!

I guess there will be three more battles. I've already got 8 days in the yellow jerseys, that's simply amazing! Two more mountain stages and a time trial, I hope I'm up for it! Either way, this Tour campaign has been incredible up to now.

See you tomorrow, for the legendary Pau - Luchon,
Willy

Nah, you need to wash it, dry it and have it ready on the next mourning. Good luck and hope you wash it until Paris
