Good signing. I'm interested to see him back in europe.
Also, Rujano rumoured to Saxo Bank. Just a rumour.

Makes sense to me. Obviously Sky don't need the dough, and pretty much everyone involved was agreed it was best for him to leave.

This will either end very badly, or very well, should it happen. I'd bet heavily on very badly...

He's also been linked with a Spanish team (Euskaltel supposedly) an Italian team, and a Russian team (presumably Katusha)
So it's anyone's guess where he ends up to be honest. |

Euskaltel's policy of only basques, and non-basques from basque youth teams, is dead as of this year.

Even more on Rujano, the latest is that he's off to Vacansoleil, intersting move according to Mikel Condé and his sources.

I really like these quote piramids.
On-topic CQ rankink had Rujano linked to Vacansoleil, but now they've removed it. It's likely they're looking for new riders, since 7 will be leaving the team. So far they signed 4 guys.

Like Vacansoleil hadn't enough different nationalities yet

Ultimately, I continue to not understand why Rujano gets contracts. He's proven over the last few years that he has two modes. Mode 1 is 75% of 2005 Rujano, where he is a capable climber who can win a stage in a major race if given freedom, or can be of valuable assistance to a team leader (like, say with the Saxo rumor, Contador. Mode 2 is an absolute debacle who is entirely incapable of doing anything resembling worth at at WT or ProConti level, and barely even deserves a ride from a small South American CT team.
Rujano has been in mode 1 for probably 5% of the last few years, and mode 2 the vast majority of the time. It will end badly, no matter who he signs with. |

Rujano should stay in a Continental Team. I just can't see him perform like he did in 2005 and in 2011. |

To be fair didn't he do pretty well at the 2011 Giro and then at this years, he had Mono or something?
