Great to see Willy become a National TT Champion this time
Lets hope he can have as much success as Stijn did last year in his Road jersey

SSJ2Luigi - He outsprinted Greipel, for some reason
Miguel98 - Sure was a good day
Jesleyh - Well, first time failed, but last year they both raced the Tour
Mollema with a spectacular attack, actually!
Jakstar22 - Thanks! Stijn should be back for the Eneco Tour!
krisa - It sure is a dream coming true!
sutty68 - With De Gendt not participating, it was his big chance

Tour de France - Stage 1
Willy: It's the Tour. Last year's winner Contador is again top favorite. Last year, in my debut, I dropped a little surprise bomb by finishing 10th. This year, I'm an outsider for the podium, and I hope for a top 5. But anything better than last year would be amazing!

A prologue has never been my specialty. Riding around in this jersey is great, though! Now I know what Stijn must've felt like.
I ride a decent prologue and only lose time on Contador , GC-contender-wise.

In the end, Costa decided to come to the Tour after all, he wants to work for me. It's amazing, he's such a great guy. It's too bad Stijn couldn't come, but he made the right decision.
World Championships Pre-selection
I think you might've seen it coming, but I'm among the pre-selection for the World Championships, for the Belgian team. The Individual Time Trial is almost already confirmed and is nearly a certainty, which makes me incredibly happy! The road race will be tough to fill only 9 spots, but I'm perfectly happy to be a domestique for Phil Gilbert, I don't have ego-problems at all there!
There is some other bad news, though. There are some problems concerning the sponsor contracts for Team Argos - Shimano. We don't want to go too much into detail but to cut a long story short: both me and Stijn's contract have been halved to October 2014, the end of this year. That means we have to look for another team in a couple of months time. The difficulty is that we're both looking to stay together in one team, so that might be hard. However, we both hold a decent (market) value, so I hope there will be many interested teams.
The team was afraid I might be bummed by this, in a way I am, but on the other hand this motivates me even more to perform at the Tour. See you tomorrow,
Willy

A pretty good prologue for Willy. Great to see the jersey still in the hands of the 2 friends.
Bad News about the contract. I am sure you will both find a great team to go too
Also good job with the World Champs Pre-Selection

Decent prologue for Willy. Some interesting news though.
Willy selected for the WC is great, but I hope Stijn and Willy can stay together at an other team.

You probably know my preference for what team they need to go(It's a certain Dutch bank
) but I don't mind if you choose another team, obviously

I think they should try and find a smaller team where they are leader's again. That would be best for there development I think

I think that currently they'll be leaders in most teams. Maybe they should get back to Lotto or maybe even Landbouwkrediet or Topsport, where they'll be absolute leaders and can mentor a young team.
And glad to see Costa could be persuaded after all
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

sutty68 - That is good news indeed! His first time, finally!
Jakstar22 - Now they each have had a jersey, so that's good
Jesleyh - There are lots of teams, nothing is decided yet
Jakstar22 - I guess they have a leader status almost anywhere. I think it's important that Stijn has a strong cobbled team to help him!
Ollfardh - Problem with those two teams is their status. They're not guaranteed to ride in WT races, that might be a problem. Lotto could probably not afford them, but maybe they're upping their budget, who knows? Costa in the Tour is very welcome
Daggen - Yeah, but he'll have a better fitness for the late season, this way

Tour de France - Stage 2 & 3
Willy: Paying attention is a key word here! A fast pace is expected and the wind is blowing hard!
Willy Wouters
Cameron Meyer is this Tour's first attacker!
I got tucked into the pack during the race. Sometimes I found myself a bit too far into the pack. But I went to the front on time for the finale.
BMC set an incredibly tough pace and the peloton got shattered. More than half the peloton dropped out.
On the final slope, there were no attacks. The pace was simply too high. It ended in a mini-mass sprint, which Vanendert won.

I took a pretty good start. My main goal of the first week, up until Planche Des Belles Filles, is just not to lose time. So far, so good!
See you tomorrow, for another hilly stage,
Willy

Costa lost over 24 minutes on stage 2?? What happened there? And Sagan in 186th on a stage he won in real life

wogsrus - That's right! And it can get better!
sutty68 - Thanks! Though I fear he's peaking a bit too early (already at 99 form)
Stromeon - Well, this tour is crazy. Constantly breaking up the peloton etc. I only keep Willy at the front, the others are here without GC-ambitions, so losing time only has advantages (future breaks...)

Tour de France - Stage 4
Willy: A year ago I would've said: I hope not to lose time today. But I've evolved so much since last year, and I'm getting better and better at races like this, I've developed much more power. So, I hope to be in the front line today!
Willy Wouters
I can't believe how tough this Tour is. The pace is constantly high and the wind is just so strong. The peloton is getting ripped to pieces stage after stage!
I was at the front pretty early, to keep watch at the attacks. I let most of them go, but then Jelle Vanendert went, a dangerous man!
And now I must dedicate a few words to a great man: Rui Costa . He selflessly decided to come to the Tour, purely in a domestic role. Today he did a lot of work, restraining attacks. Thanks, Rui!
Froome saw his chance, and I also had to react to this. By now, Rui was already parked and finishing at a low pace.
On top of the final hill, I survived, and still I felt unbelievably great. Going over the hill, I thought: no one would expect an attack now, so I just pulled myself over the top!
I threw myself in the descend! I had a gap!
That final wall, the finish, was so hard. I had to keep going because they were closing in on me!
But I did it! Amazingly, I pulled this off! In my current winner's flow, I take my second Tour stage victory ever!

Things couldn't go any better, I'll tell you that! I'm the most happy man in the peloton at the moment, I'm sure about that! I'm practically leading, but I don't have the responsibility of the yellow jersey!
Though my only worry is that I might be peaking a bit early. I feel I'm at the maximum of my powers now, I hope I can hold that form for another two weeks.
Tomorrow is the first mountain stage, with the mountain of the pretty girls! Expect firework there. I will be there, fighting for every second!
Until then,
Willy

Great Willy, amazing! Those seconds he won on the main contenders can be very valuable in the end. And grabbing a stage-win is even better
This is great too btw:
