I hope things turn out good for you Ian. I'm sure us story-writers can survive without your support but do tune back in when the time is right |

Traitor!
I should keep my mouth shut here really, I'm also member of PCM Focus, PCM France, PCM Norge (I really don't speak a single word Norwegian) and the Cyanide forums
But this is the only place where I'm active, though

Its not like i post much on PCM-Focus... I mean, I cant speak Dutch for sh*t...
Im also a member of cyclingmanager.de (as is Roturn) and a member of pcm-france (I admit that Im a moderator there...), but what is wrong with being a member of multiple sites? Especially Graphicsartists and DB-Creators are usually members of more than 1 site. (And if I understood it right, even Mike is!)
EDIT: Seems like the showrooms on focus only got moved...

Is there anyone knowing "Solid Edge 2D Drafting" or a similar program?
I need to create a design drawing of a shell and tube heat exchanger.
As I never really learned to use that program I already had problems to create the easier front view. Now I am struggling a lot with the side view.
Does anybody know an easier program to use or some hidden tricks.
Actually the university will change this module as they have realized it`s a shit task as there is no AutoCAD/Solid Edge lesson here, but they won`t change it until next year... |

Used to using Solidworks, so what I'd suggest is looking for a tutorial online - there are some good ones, and the programs are similar. If you can, scan your drawing in to draw around as that helps get the basic shape, then do some more complex things. For the tube, use the shell tool or whatever its called in Solidedge to make it hollow if you need to. |

Thanks. Will probably just have to sit down for the rest of the weekend to make it line for line. |

I'd say I'm quite a proficient user of AutoCad, as long as it doesn't involve the 3D part.
"Heat exchanger" ? Sounds bloody familiar to me. What are you doing or studying to have to deal with that ? |

I know little things of Inventor. We have to use it for our mechanical project at school.

I am studying energy and process engineering with an enviromental factor.
And this is more or less what it should look like in the end, just with all my calculations like length, wideness etc.

Pretty much what I've studied then, although I've ended up into construction instead of industry. |

Just bought myself the best gadget in a while - an external (USB) battery. With this, my Playstation Vita can survive for 7-8 hours instead of 3. And how long is the flight from Copenhagen to Washington again? 8 hours!
Seriously, though, I probably won't use it often. It's a bit like jumper cables in cars. Almost never used, but extremely convenient in emergency situations. |

The NHL Lockout is finally over! Sort of. The NHL and NHLPA agreed to the framework of a deal with a mediator. Games are expected to start as early as the 15th but probably the 19th.

I've got sort of a riddle for you guys.
Imagine this: you've been racing on your bike for the last five days. Recuperating for the next day is getting harder and harder, as you feel the strain on your body for cycling so much. Nevertheless, you want win today's race, no matter what. You're preparing for a sprint to the line against some of the fastest people you've ever seen on a bike. You're not very well positioned, and most people would say you're too far back to ever get involved in the final sprint, let alone win the race. You almost need a miracle now. All you can do is follow the wheel of who's in front of you and hope for the best.
Given the choice, who would you like to see in front of you to follow? |
