Vlasov and Yates having a hard time so I suppose that EF1 did the smart thing today

Yates struggling, Vlasov behind with a mechanical. Group is tiny - Evenepoel I think cracked before the climb.
Think this should settle the matter of Remco being a GT contender for the next 2-3 years.

2021 and RAI still can't deliver consistent images from a mountain pass..

Half the stage is cancelled and we can't even see what's left.

At this point I'm debating just turning it off. As interesting as the racing is, staring at rainy scenery is just too frustrating.

I can’t remember a worst broadcast than today’s stage. Holy crap. |

I'm starting to wonder if RAI isn't the cause for this. With these conditions, the broadcast of the stage would be at risk.
Seems legit by now. Imagine if people had to do endure 3 hours of that bullshit.

Do they not think about this possibility beforehand? It's 2021 for christ's sake.

Caruso 2nd best next to Bernal. LOL Landa would have smoked this field.

There have been some truly terrible broadcasts from bad weather and some truly terrible stage alterations too. But the combination of the two here might make this one of the worst travesties in the last decade or more of professional cycling as far as TV viewership goes. Stuff like the TDF 19 might be worse from a racing perspective, but this is just infuriating.

Gotta second this. Not even the spaniards usually fail this badly. This is really embarassing. |

Yup RCS and RAI have a lot of explaining to do. This was worse than in the 90ies where you had usually some screwed images but at least got some coverage. We got nothing!!

45 minutes of nothing, and they don't even show the line more than 3 minutes for the minor placings.

They're not gonna explain anything. "Bad weather, sorry" and pretend everything's alright. Unless advertisers complain there's no one they'll be accountable to.
