bbl, whitejersey and jandal: Yeah, I'm surprised too, but with the goal being to survive in the PT this season, I'm not sure I can gamble on his brilliant GT performances to appear again for a decent points haul. Kind of surprised myself, but we'll see. At least it should make for a transfer season with opportunities for selling, trading and buying different riders, giving us options, and most important, lays the foundation for another great transfer season with lots of fun and discussions with other managers.
redordead and whitejersey: Yeah, curious to see what interest and potential offers Sosa can give us.
AbhishekLFC: Must admit I haven't decided. There's definitely the foundation to have a major rebuild, but I'm not sure I want it, as that will be a definite relegation seeing our current leaders. It's an option, but as it stands now, I'm leaning towards trying to survive, and then, assuming we manage to avoid relegation, have a look around next year.
SotD: Happy with both indeed! This might be the time for Galta to move on, though, and who knows about Foss, everyone is for sale... |

I have interest in a rider not named Sosa, if you decide you'd rather keep him
Shouldn't be too hard to figure out who

Good to hear, valverde321! We'll definitely talk, as I'm curious to hear what kind of offer/trade you might look for. It would indeed be nice if Amezawa was to continue in a Japanese team |

Massive Changes After Pro Tour Promotion
The transfer season has just started, but it has been a few hectic days for Aker - MOT so far. Having promoted from the Pro Continental Tour, it has been at times very tricky to navigate to try to ensure the team will be able to stay afloat in the Pro Tour.
Some of the riders leaving the team are last year's clear leader Michal Kwiatkowski, our long time Norwegian leader Fredrik Strand Galta, and wonderkid Ivan Sosa. So far, the following riders have been signed.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | Age | Wage | | Lukasz Wisniowski | 80 | 69 | 71 | 74 | 75 | 76 | 71 | 83 | 73 | 76 | 74 | 73 | 77 | 80,44 | 31 | 760k | | Soren Kragh Andersen | 81 | 62 | 65 | 70 | 77 | 78 | 72 | 65 | 76 | 74 | 72 | 71 | 83 | 74,37 | 28 | 125k | | Matej Mohoric | 72 | 71 | 83 | 64 | 78 | 72 | 72 | 50 | 67 | 77 | 71 | 79 | 64 | 79,03 | 28 | 490k | | Georg Preidler | 68 | 80 | 78 | 58 | 71 | 77 | 76 | 50 | 50 | 69 | 73 | 81 | 58 | 77,67 | 32 | 300k | | Alexander Kamp | 73 | 64 | 74 | 60 | 74 | 75 | 70 | 63 | 71 | 74 | 72 | 71 | 65 | 74,08 | 29 | 50k |
Wisniowski and Kragh were our big target starting this transfer season. We're very excited to announce we made it work. Wisniowski joins the team, and will of course lead the line on the cobbles. We're confident we've signed a true world class cobbler, who can also excel in other classics, like he has shown the past seasons.
Kragh is a rider we've asked for in all seasons he has been at Grieg-Maersk. We couldn't believe it when we heard he was available, and then making it happen is a dream come true. He'll be a key rider for us, as we look to make the most of him as our leader for classics and flat races. He did great in that role at Grieg-Maersk, and we'll do our best to continue that in a new environment for him.
Mohoric was a surprise to see join us, as we didn't really have him in our thoughts before King Power approached us. We're happy to have made a deal work with them. He'll lead us in the Ardennes and in similar races, and hopefully should score quite a bit more points than last season, where he also was present at the Tour de France.
Preidler is the fourth new signing who is sort of a big name. He had a great 2021 with MOL, and we hope to see him do similar things with us. He's assumed to get a role as a GT stage hunter, but also leading the line in the more difficult hybrid races.
Our final signing to announce was also the first, as Alexander Kamp joins us from the Free Agency. We like his combination of stats, and we think he'll fit perfect in our team.
Thank you to all managers involved in the deals that have seen riders join us, but also riders leave. In addition to those mentioned earlier, Niklas Larsen, Amund Grondahl Jansen and David Wohrer have left the team.

Fantastic job on changing the team picture. Wisniowski, Kragh Andersen and Mohoric is a trio that almost anybody would like in his team. Preidler also a reasonable addition that was stronger last year than in previous seasons. Love it!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Very good and focussed start to transfers I must say. Doing well to secure your position back in the PT I would say. Look forward to how the rest of the team shape up

Impressive rebuild mate. It's not often a team signs 4 dedicated leaders in one window, all of whom have PT level. But if anyone has that rebuild in him it sure is you. It's not the first time (and hopefully not the last neither) we have seen this. But it's not any less impressive to do it again and again...

Thank you for your kind words, everyone! I'm indeed happy with our new leaders.
Mohoric will most likely have another relatively poor season seeing how few race days we've got for him, basically no PTHC race that suits him. But let's say we see it as a long term investmen, keeping his wage low for 2023, where we can fit the race schedule more to him After all, it was a surprise to get in a top puncheur these transfers. |

A busy transfer season seems to come to an end, as we currently have a team of 24 riders, and not much more work to be done. The following riders have joined the team after the first few intense days:
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | Age | Wage | | Alberto Dainese | 74 | 62 | 68 | 60 | 73 | 75 | 77 | 63 | 79 | 80 | 64 | 70 | 63 | 76,53 | 24 | 82,5k | | Alexander Konychev | 80 | 61 | 66 | 60 | 76 | 76 | 65 | 63 | 74 | 73 | 76 | 61 | 71 | 72,96 | 24 | 32,5k | | Giorgi Nareklishvili | 74 | 68 | 69 | 78 | 70 | 74 | 69 | 67 | 66 | 67 | 76 | 58 | 76 | 74,69 | 29 | 210k | | Brent Van Moer | 74 | 61 | 69 | 77 | 74 | 76 | 68 | 69 | 58 | 65 | 67 | 68 | 77 | 73,51 | 24 | 50k | | Daniel Eaton | 75 | 62 | 69 | 77 | 74 | 76 | 74 | 67 | 62 | 68 | 70 | 66 | 77 | 73,79 | 29 | 50k | | Andreas Hofer | 73 | 58 | 65 | 78 | 74 | 72 | 68 | 55 | 63 | 68 | 75 | 64 | 78 | 73,23 | 31 | 50k | | Aaron Van Poucke | 68 | 75 | 73 | 63 | 70 | 72 | 66 | 60 | 67 | 72 | 73 | 69 | 65 | 73,3 | 24 | 50k | | Jaka Primozic | 68 | 74 | 73 | 66 | 77 | 76 | 77 | 61 | 66 | 73 | 72 | 67 | 67 | 74,01 | 24 | 22k | | Andreas Stokbro | 73 | 62 | 69 | 66 | 73 | 72 | 65 | 74 | 69 | 71 | 69 | 67 | 66 | 73,36 | 25 | 50k |
We're very happy to bring in Dainese and Konychev on loan from Assa Abloy. They will both get the chance to shine in our jersey. The former will mostly be stage hunting in stage races and Grand Tours, while Konychev together with Kragh, but sometimes also Wiswniowski, will lead us in flat classics.
Looking further, it's clear we've strengthened our team time trial setup. It's not EA Vesuvio standard, but we're confident we'll do well in TTTs this year. Nareklishvili, Eaton, Hofer and loan signing Van Moer will all be part of it. One of them could even be benched if we notice a drop in performance, as we've got 9 riders competing for 8 spots for the pure TTT events.
Then we've got three more loanees with us in 2022. Van Poucke, Primozic and Stokbro will have different roles in the team. The latter will follow Wisniowski and be key for our cobbles campaign, while Primozic and Van Poucke will mostly ride stage races and get freedom to also chase stage glory.
We're now very close to being done with our transfer season.

Awesome to see your rebuild take place, and now seeing the team you’ve built I think you should have a comfortable year in PT. Kragh is an awesome signing, look forward to seeing how you use him

Aker is always a team I root for anyway, but your moves this offseason are particularly likeable. Glad to see your TTT team came to fruition in the end, and Wisniowski is the perfect PT leader imo. Add Mohoric and you're in a really good spot.
But SOREN KRAGH ANDERSEN. That's the signing that should turn heads. Dude is a beast and just does things you don't expect are possible in PCM. Such a gem. Glad he ended up on the perfect team once he had to be sold by Grieg.
