Woohoo! Signed Moreira, Slagter, van Baarle and Boswell although I'm pretty sure I payed too much for at least one or two of them. Do transfers between teams open after we finish 1.2?

Oh! Not having much to spend my tactic was to just throw some min offers for some top class veterans and hope for the best ... it worked to get Boonen and now it worked to get Rodriguez!

looked around the teams a little bit more:
Lufthansa did a fantastic job so far, if they use their budget now in the right places it looks like maybe the strongest new team ever.
Specialized with two amazing signings, they´ll surely be a lot better than last year.
I like the moves of TVM so far, a lot nice regional riders in the team I´d love to have. If you now also take Mollema, you will be rival #1 for me surely.
Allianz with loads of riders to sign and almost no budget left...will there be the next armada of 55 AVG riders?
Visit Ukraine with a great team to build on as well, congrats Mr. Nepomnyachshiy...

I'm happy with the results of the first round. My team looks just like I wanted. It remains to wait for the decision of 2 other riders and then we'll see. If they agree, the team is 100% ready for the new season. If not, I can look for some cheap opportunities in the market. |

Much better than I expected first up. A lot of those were "I'll throw around some new money and see what happens kind of bids". Still need to fill my team though.

My primary objective in this edition of the ICL is to not come last. I have two more riders in negotiations who might also help in that aim.

Oh shit, I don't think my team can afford to have any enemies since we'll probably be involved in a lot of transfer discussions...
I totally agree with Lufthansa and VisitUkraine's excellent signings for their debut seasons. Allianz will be fine, if they need to clear some budget room they've got twelve riders who average 75+ so can easily risk losing a few of those if needed.
More interestingly, Specialized will certainly improve this year. It looks like they made the same decision I did in the first year and tried to sign a lot of decent riders and not many stars. A tactic which would probably work well in the real peloton, but sadly isn't very successful in getting ICL points.
