Nico Rosberg is the 2016 World Champion! Hamilton tried everything to stop him, so Vettel and Verstappen might had a chance to overtake him.
Vettel had a chance in the last two laps but Rosberg kept his place to be crowned as F1 World Champion. Congrats Nico! |

Rosberg following his father's footsteps. Good job by him. This season was his best shot at winning the world championship and he took it.
Can't wait for next season with hopefully a less dominant Mercedes team. |

Despite wanting Hamilton to win the Championship again i thought his tactics were unsporting and he should congratulate Rosberg on becoming the World Champion
Lewis is a sore loser in my opinion |

His tactics were by no means unfair. It would've been unfair, had he pushed him off, but backing the pack up, was his only chance of winning the championship. He tried what he had to. Every racer would've done the same. You have to be an egomaniac to really be successful in F1. The only one who wasn't ego, was Button. But he just was at the right place on the right time.
I don't like Hamilton at all, but I would've done the same. I probably would've started backing him up sooner and more aggressively, maybe even in the USA or in mexico.

What a surprise (I mean that seriously not sarcastically)
Either he doesn't believe he can beat Hamilton for a second time or he thinks next years Mercedes is not going to be as dominant as in the last 3 seasons.
Only problem is that Mercedes will probably sign a definite number two so the two horse race will turn into a one horse race unless the other cars can step up.
Jenson Button to come out of retirement to drive as Mercedes number 2?

You're assuming Button is actually good enough to drive Mercedes Wehrlein is gonna do it quite probably.

Well or he has achieved his dream goal and now wants to focus on the life with his family? Cause that would be a couse I completely understand. He has more than enough money for his life, pulled out when he was on top and will from now on just enjoy. I like that decision.

Yeah, I guess. And I understand that.
I just would have thought he would have wanted to prove everyone saying he only won because of Hamilton's issues wrong and win it again. He's only 31, that's within the prime years for a racing driver. He could still have 2 or 3 years of challenging for the World title.

mercedes have two possible drivers in the pipeline wehrlein and ocon
ocon is the obvious choice because he is a lot more talented and professional while wehrlein is reportedly a nightmare to work with
but mercedes have a problem
in the engine deal with force india they offered one of the two on loan
force india chose ocon
can mercedes renegotiate? if not then bottas has an agent that is at the same time mercedes manager and part owner |

Werhlein is way ahead of Ocon in Mercedes drive chances. Unless, Mercedes makes a deal with Williams to sign Bottas and give them Werhlein, he's going to replace Rosberg |

I really hate Wehrlein, but he's the better driver, so he should get the Mercedes spot. Wehrlein is the obvious choice, not Ocon.

Sounds like Wehrlein and Hamilton in the same team will be interesting.

why would wehrlein be the better choice?
in f3 he was 2nd with the best team. thats very good
ocon won the championship. ahead of verstappen. by a big lead.
this season they were teammates. everyone expected wehrlein to beat ocon because ocon only came in mid season and every driver who came in mid season since the testing ban in 2008 was destroyed by their teammates. but ocon was actually even with wehrlein.
there is a reason force india chose ocon over wehrlein. he is easily superior |

Force India picked Ocon, because Wehrlein was forced to stay at Manor, because Mercedes wanted to keep him.
Whilst Ocon has beaten Wehrlein with 4:3 in Races(Wehrlein DNF'd 2 races, he would've won against Ocon, though), Wehrlein beat Ocon 7:2 in Quali.
And don't tell me, that he couldn't test before...he was a test-driver and was testing with the team, just like Stoffel did at McLaren.

Ocon won with a big lead but Verstappen won the most races, and Van Amersfoort is a midfield team, not a top team. So yeah. Doesn't say everything about Ocon. I rate Wehrlein higher seeing how dominatnly he won DTM |
