Can't BMC just give leadership to Dennis instead? Why?
Van Garderen is a much better climber than Dennis
Only slightly- and besides, TVG must surely have peaked at the Dauphine. Can you show where Dennis got good climbing results?
He is a TTer.
2013 Dauphine. He can climb better than most time trialists but he just conserves energy or works earlier in the day. He was quite good at it as an U23 Rider too I believe.

Flip- I didn't realise that Quintana recced the cobbles by riding E3.
He almost crashed on the Kwaremont got scared and abandoned.
Well, according to Paul, he 'quite enjoyed it'. But then again, he's only just realised Dennis' time was the fastest in TDF history.

+ Dennis finishing second in GC in California shows he has some form of climbing ability (Also winning the stage up Mount Diablo).

Dege 5 seconds ahead of GVA, that might become interesting on stage 4 depending on his Mur and on Cancellara's time today.

Good ride by Quintana, there won't be any big time gaps between the big GC riders

If Degenstache makes Mur then so will Dumoulin and Tony for sure. |

Thats not the point tho, the point being his chances of taking the jersey after stage 4 where Dumoulin, Martin and such will struggle compared to Cance. |

Kelderman told the media that he wants to drop Dennis(and probably also Dumoulin) on Huy in an attempt to grab white at least until the mountains
Kruijswijk lovely indeed.

Kruijswijk still with three weeks of Giro racing in his legs, means he'll be beast again?
