Pathetic AI in one of the most expected races, i feel sorry for Zabel and others, who have last chance at Avenir. Grosu is disappointing, but at least he has one more year.
Thanks for the reports!

It was Krieger's last and only chance for results in Avenir.
So it's good that Olivier is in a nice position. Looking forward to the podium fight now.
Lecuisinier, Kirsch and Morton obviously the big favorites. But with Lutsenko ahead and guys like Olivier behind them, it should be open until the last stage. |

I really hope the game makes up for this making Zabel win a few GT stages next year. Pretty dissapointing as I've felt he has done better than his stats in some PT races this year, so I had really high expectations.
I have a feeling that Lutsenko will make an upset, he got a lot of time and the jersey make riders fly

I hope Lutsenko will not get anymore time in the next stage, then he should be possible to take down, with 30-60 seconds in the TT and a minute or so on both mountain stages. I hope it will be possible.

Wow. Nice performance by Olivier. Before the mountains he is ahead of all big GC riders.
Lutsenko though still going strong. |

The Canadian are not being much use in the later stages here Cataford had at least been promising during the race whereas matte and duchesne are very uninspiring |

Oooh, almost a Bulgarian win, that would have been cool.
And almost a satisfying stage by Kirsch, frustrating loss right at the end, but at least he gained a little on Lecuisinier and Morton.
And for Morton, that's just doubly annoying.
Really quite worried about Lutsenko's lead.

Agh, Meintjes misses another move again. Quite frustrating, but I'm sure he'll make the better ends on the mountain stages.
Agree with SN, Lutsenko's lead seems strong. It'll take some real splits to see him relinquish it.

Lutsenkos's lead is really getting interesting now.
Congratz to Lierse. The last two stages went brilliant for them.
Olivier with a great performance. The yelloow jersey obviously gives him a big push
Similarly nice is that Michel Koch sits in an equal good position. It would be cool to see him staying in the top 10 eventhough it will get difficult now to do there!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Good result for Uwizeyimana, great to see him off the front for Siam. Now we need Kudus to do the same, or at least help out Meintjes up the overall standings. |

Oh yes! After all the close finishes, we can celebrate a win! I can already call this race the biggest success we had in ages. And it also shows how good my team could be next year.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Continue to follow this race with some bemusement - not really sure what is going to happen in the real mountains.
Two nice outsiders in Edmondson - who has a nice little race now and De Bie that despite being super lazy most days is still in touch with a possible top 20.
Great stuff as ever tsmoha!

Lutsenko looks more and more like the favourite for the overall win. The other contenders really need to make the most of the upcoming stage 8, as they can't allow him a comfortable gap with only the final stage left, as the yellow jersey should give him wings there if needed.
Anonymous performance from all riders in Aker-MOT's colours. Hopefully they're saving energy for the breakaway on the next stage. I doubt that Dyrnes will be allowed to ride clear though, which is sad considering the KoM classification, but I guess we can't have everything
And thanks for another great report, tsmoha! |

Good to see a Siam Cement rider up there, been a good race for our mixed team. Will be watching with interest to see if Lutsenko can hang on, but rooting for Lecuisinier here. |

Second podium for Metinvest in this race, thanks to gutsy breakaway ride of Mike Aaron Egger, out young german climbing talent. Congrats to Lierse, but shame that our east european collegues from Boeing came just short, would be a great win!
Lutsenko is imo winner of the race, bar any crash. Do you need success for your rider? Put him in Quickstep lineup and he will start rolling as their jersey probably gives +5 to all atributes.
Great report Tsmoha!

Well. That was not good. Atleast I now hope to see a lot of aggressive riding from Lecuisinier to get that podium. A win will be very difficult now, but podium should still be within reach.

Fantastic racing by Olivier. But I guess Kirsch is the one to beat right now.

A good performance from Kudus there, aiding Meintjes before riding himself closer towards a top 20 overall. Also good to see another Kenyan, Manfred, doing well in the KotM even if not for us! |
