Started from the top, now we're here. No big loses except Kittel, but my guys are so bad so far. Colbrelli, Puccio, Aru and Battaglin completely anonymnous so far.
This can't be good. 40th, atm.

AS much as I hate the circumstances in which things have gone well I have really picked well with Ulissi, Wellens (how did more people not take him at 4 points?!) and Bouhanni. Ulissi, Wellens, Majka, Quintana and Keldermann are right up there on GC and Moreno is likely to be the new Katusha GC rider.
Martin crashing out and Colbrelli as a supreme disappointment have been the only down sides so far.

Yeah true but I'd still put him above most of them because he ride a half decent GC as well, unlike guys like Mezgec or Malori.

Half decent meaning around position 15-20, but not significantly appearing in stage results gives less points than a stage win though, which both Mezgec and Malori are capable of.

Sure but in addition GC riders collect points every day which isn't true of the others and means that ultimately they can overhaul a single stage win's value. Not to mention the fact that, like today, GC riders can still get stage points, which they are likely to do or else they wouldn't be in that position.
Either way it is just two different philosophies and probably not really worth discussing.

My GC guys are all well-positioned: Quintana, Uran, Majka, Aru, and Kelderman.
Kittel is a waste of 16 good points.
And I still have Malori, Bongiorno, and Battaglin as stage hunters.
All in all, it looks pretty solid. But I'm only 74th.  Should get a bunch of points the last week, though. |
