Very disappointing race for me, but excellent to follow nevertheless! Thanks for the massive effort, roturn.
The ranking is still looking more promising than I expected, luckily. Efimkin still has four races (Milano-Torino, Emilia, Beijing, Japan) left, so I think we've still got a good chance of avoiding relegation.
Everything has to go according to plan from now onwards, though.

I like those Standings. Too bad Abal & Anton are done racing for the season though. Will have to rely on Costa & Barrio to bring it home.
Hopefully the headline at the end of the season reads:
Team CSC-Orbea survives relegation scare, stays in PCT

Extremely close apart from WWE and Aramavia Everyone of those teams could end up relegating

Well i really thought this would be a complete waste of racedays, but we actually gave a good fight and can come away with the KotM jersey, really helps my teams points total, too bad that we were already so far adrift

Doubled our total number of wins in this race, and bagged a few other podiums and Top10's on stages. Drastically fell short of any GC points or Jerseys which is a bit of a shame.
Not exactly loads of points, but more than i was expecting to gain based of recent form. Promotion is certainly not gone but is slipping ever further away now.
Great race for the PCT teams though. That relegation fight is just intense! Kasechkin well deserving winner following an amazing ride

A complete waste of race days, only saves the stage victory and the provision of Salleh who the first time was able to engage in the fight for the sprints.
Congratulations to the winners and thanks to the excellent work done by roturn ...

Amazing race, great effort roturn, well done and thanks a bunch
I think this race has become more democratic than ever. I guess people tend to think that with so many race days, points will come eventually but it's exactly the opposite. If you don't have competitive riders this works as a race day drainage. So it's great to see that with so many teams involved, the stage-wins got widely distributed if you come to think of it.
Congrats to Repsol on this brilliant win, which not only gave them some air to breath but may well have been their saving board.
Also cool to have 2 stage-wins and my little top10. Not that many race-days wasted

*sigh* one of these days my team will do something that makes sense, no idea why they would wait for Kung unless they decided that making sure we got enough riders home to feature on the teams list was more important then our top 20 on GC.

Two stages wins and 12th in GC finally brings some points for the American rankings.
Congrats to Repsol and their leader with the unspellable name and all other teams who take the "big points" and once again thanks Roturn for your effort.

We did slightly better than I was expecting, but of course I'd hoped Stetina would have finished a little higher in the GC. In hindsight with all the attacking the team did, and how close we were to a couple more stage wins than we ended up with, it would have been nice to get more stage wins.
In terms of the relegation battle, with this and pretty much the remainder of the season being goals for us Im optimistic.

To add to Roturn's standings post, here is the bottom half of PCT updated in terms of projected standings: (again, only including the Tour of America from September so far)
Pos | | Team | RD | PpRD | Projection | Total | 16 | | Evian-MIAT | 151 | 13.3 | 2328 | 2009 | 17 | | Swedbank-PEAB | 149 | 12.7 | 2230 | 1899 | 18 | | Meiji - Cannondale | 155 | 12.7 | 2216 | 1963 | 19 | | Alstom-RBC | 147 | 12.6 | 2200 | 1848 | 20 | | Team UPC - Boehringer-Ingelheim | 138 | 12.4 | 2166 | 1708 | 21 | | Amex Pro Cycling | 155 | 12.2 | 2138 | 1894 | 22 | | Cisco Cycling Team | 152 | 12.0 | 2105 | 1828 | 23 | | Team Bintang | 172 | 11.8 | 2064 | 2029 | 24 | | Pivovarna Laško | 161 | 11.8 | 2060 | 1895 | 25 | | LukOil-Rostelekom | 153 | 11.8 | 2058 | 1799 | 26 | | Team CSC-Orbea | 158 | 11.7 | 2056 | 1856 | 27 | | Oz Cycling Project | 156 | 11.6 | 2038 | 1817 | 28 | | Repsol-Cativen | 166 | 11.4 | 1999 | 1896 | 29 | | Team WWE | 136 | 11.0 | 1922 | 1494 | 30 | | PFG-Armavia | 148 | 8.6 | 1503 | 1271 |
So Repsol still in trouble, but not out of it. Likewise still some hope for WWE if they can string some good races together. But look at the battle for the final spots! CSC-Orbea to relegate by just 2 points according to the projection, it is ridiculously close between Bintang and Oz.
Not racing in America has done wonders for UPC. Their projection is unchanged from the August rankings - where it placed them 26th. So 6 teams have fallen below them on the back of not scoring enough here.
Note that these race day counts may not be 100% correct, and also some teams may not have the full 175. Team Bintang only have Milano - Torino left, so a maximum of 2050 may be a more realistic guess. Could be a good target then for all teams to aim for in their remaining races

I can only hope for at least two good results in our few remaining races... doubt we will do anything special though.. meh, I'm not too confident right now..

Of our 24 remaining Napolitano is in a third of them so I think we're almost there. Hope we can nick a top 15 as well.
Great reporting roturn, an interesting race for sure |

So close!
Im still thinking Efimkin's final racedays will keep us safe, but it's far from certain.

Very very happy, Kashechkin performed like a champ. Lets hope this will be enough to inspire the team to get to safety

Those projections are awesome. Sadly we're doing as badly in Britain as the other teams have done in the US

It is difficult to project teams near the bottom end as I guess their points per race probably fluctuate quite wildly compared to those near the other end of things.
Some of these teams like sending crappy development squads to races, great for the future but no good for the short term goals of the teams.
I suppose it really does depend on what these teams have left in the locker, fascinating though

Relegation is turning out to be more exciting than promotion!
Best of luck to all the active teams involved (which tbh does appear to be most!).
