UHC or Alonso's team. Would also like to see Alonso's team in a story!
And you get to ride a GT which is always good for development

Why not ban Cav as well ? or go the whole hog and ban all British Riders so there would be no chance on stepping on your toes winning things and if it's not just a Brit bashing exercise ban every winner cos surely they must all be doping !!!!. |

Thanks to all for commenting.
atlanta: I completely understand where you are coming from. My intention was not to remove Froome since he was the best rider, but because he was a leader at Sky, who were doping.
ftmtevans: Well Cav was riding for Omega not Sky, and Omega wasn't caught doping. Why do you act like I banned all the british riders? I clearly didn't. I only banned Wiggins and Froome. I didn't ban Thomas, Cav, Kennaugh, JTL, Dowsett, or Stannard. Besides, it is just a story, no need to get so worked up.

Boswell signs for Team MTN-Qhubeka
Ian Boswell announced that he would join MTN-Qhubeka for the rest of this season, and three more years beyond this season. The American was lured by a promise that MTN would start to ride in the American races, and the promise of riding in the WT in next two years. There is a clause releasing him if they don't get into the WT in the over the next two years.

MTN-Qhubeka Team Presentation
Here is a short team presentation of MTN-Qhubeka.
Leaders
My Stats as of August 1
The Rest of the Team
Not pictured are Geraint Thomas and Danny Pate. The team has also signed Bjorn Leukenmans for next season to lead on the cobbles.
My Schedule for the rest of the season
Route of Elk Grove
Tour of Utah
USA Pro Cycling Challenge
Tour of Alberta
That's it, just four races for me. The team didn't anticipate three more riders, and so they didn't have very many spots for us to race.

Fine choice with MTN! Good luck with the new team.
Only a few races left this season for Ian, and then onto 2014

Route of Elk Grove Preview
This year's Route of Elk Grove is composed of three stages. The first is a 7 km prologue that I will be targeting. The last two stages are pan flat, and should end in bunch sprints.
All of us will be supporting Sbaragli in the last two stages, and the team hopes that he can get the team a win.
There are lots of good Time Trialists here, and most of the domestic teams have brought their sprinter.
The Race
Tom Zirbel set the best early time at 9 42. The American Time Trial Champion held on for a long time at the top.
The Dane Alex Rasmussen was the first to beat Zirbel's time. Rasmussen rode the course in a time of 9 35.
Danny Pate rode a solid ride in his race since Milan-San-Remo. The American finished the stage in 8th, 11 seconds off the pace of the eventual winner.
The third-to-last finisher was the only rider to surpass Rasmussen. Ramunas Navardauskas rode the 7.2 km course with a time of 9 34.
I was the last rider to start, and the last to finish. I didn't suprise, finishing in the same time as Pate in 9th place.
Stage Results
1 | Ramunas Navardauskas | Garmin - Sharp | 9'34 | 2 | Alex Rasmussen | Garmin - Sharp | + 1 | 3 | Tom Zirbel | Optum p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies | + 8 | 4 | Nathan Brown | Bontrager Cycling Team | + 9 | 5 | Christopher Baldwin | Bissell Cycling | s.t. | 6 | Tom Danielson | Garmin - Sharp | + 10 | 7 | Ben Jacques-Maynes | Jamis - Hagens Berman | + 11 | 8 | Danny Pate | MTN - Qhubeka | s.t. | 9 | Ian Boswell | MTN - Qhubeka | s.t. | 10 | John Murphy | UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team | + 13 |
Post Race Comments- It sure is great to be racing again! No surprises today, I think I did well today, although I thought I would get into the top 5. Tomorrow it is all out for Sbaragli.
See You Then- Ian
