Could've been worse Smile
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Poland is one the countries that no one thought would do a good TTT, but we were wrong as they came in a provisional fourth one second faster than France.

Actually Poland is quite strong in TTT as Kwiatkowski and Bodnar are good timetralists plus Majka and Marczyński are decent ones too Smile

Awesome race for the USA. 3 riders top 10 and 1-3 in U25 competition. Grin

Ollfradh: It was a good ride from the Belgians.
mvhoogdalem: it was a good ride for 'Murica
Atlantius: Well I think they will have very little points in the next few stages
cyclman123: They did terrible I agree

Unlikely that a stage will be up today, but I may get around to it tonight.

National Tour Stage 5 Preview Show

imageshack.us/a/img94/9062/xe86.png
Today's stage is a 228 kilometer journey across southern France starting in Cagnes-San-Mur and ending in Marseille. The route is relatively flat but there are four categorized climbs with a cat 3 and 3 cat 4s the last of which is summitted with 11 km to go. It is expected that the sprinters will their day to shine for the second time in this year's race.

The Favorites

imageshack.us/a/img838/6697/waer.jpg
Germany has had a dream start to the race, and the Gorilla wants to continue it. On stage one it was clear his train is superior to GBR's but can they be the fastest once again.
imageshack.us/a/img4/859/j5h1.jpg
The Manx Missile's train let him down on stage 1 putting 100 m behind Greipel and he barely got second ahead of Greipel's leadout man Marcel Kittel. If he is in position he usually wins, but can Great Britain get it right.

The Outsiders

imageshack.us/a/img51/3451/iz2k.jpg
Alexander Kristoff came in 5th on the first stage. Can he improve on that performance?
imageshack.us/a/img547/3248/j9ig.jpg
Matt Goss hasn't been seen since finishing 4th on day one. Maybe he isn't going for the points jersey? He should be going for stage honors though.
imageshack.us/a/img834/8044/ubq6.jpg
The four armed sprinter Arnaud Demare suffered in the crosswinds of stage 1. Can he be up at the front at the finish?

The game is being uncooperative and won't let me play the stage in 3D race. I have tried moving to single stage mode, while loading the game starts flashing between road geometries and road intersection geometries until my computer says that the game has stopped working and shuts the game off. Anyone know a solution? I have tried multiple times.

If no one has a solution to the problem I'll just quick-sim the stage.
EDIT: I'm going to quick-sim the stage since it doesn't work, this stage will count towards points though, I can't give break points.

Chaos in the National Tour

With some of the worst weather in the history of French Cycling, the UCI has announced that Stage 5 of the National Tour will be neutralized, and that there will be no KOM or Green jersey points handed out. The race will wait out the weather before riding stage 6, which is a pan flat ride across France towards the Pyrenees.

I did, it just wasn't going to let me race that stage. Stage 6 works just fine so I will do that stage tomorrow or maybe tonight.
EDIT: No stage preview for stage 6.

National Tour Stage 6

imageshack.us/a/img22/2596/4gh4.jpg
There was a four man group that got away from the gun. They were: David Veilleux of Canada, Michael Schar of Switzerland, Jose Goncalves of Portugal, and Bob Jungels of Luxembourg.
imageshack.us/a/img33/7253/rt4x.jpg
At the sprint point it was Bob Jungels taking the honors ahead of Veilleux.
imageshack.us/a/img198/7963/fqy5.jpg
Five minutes later the peloton came through in this order: Greipel, Cavendish, Goss, and Kristoff.
imageshack.us/a/img801/2366/i23e.jpg
With 25 km to go the gap is 1 50 and the chase is being led by the four sprinter’s teams.
imageshack.us/a/img853/3287/gbdh.jpg
At around 16 kilometers to go there was a large crash in the middle of the peloton that brought down 18 riders, however none of them were high in the GC.
imageshack.us/a/img580/2968/0txx.jpg
With 10 km to go the gap is still 50 seconds. Looks it will be close once again.
imageshack.us/a/img607/1609/q778.jpg
With 5 km to go Veilleux is going for the solo win, he still has a 33 second gap.
imageshack.us/a/img96/9379/gd78.jpg
With 3 km to go Veilleux has 12 seconds to Jungels and Schar, and another 20 seconds to the peloton.
imageshack.us/a/img845/1151/hca5.jpg
Under the Flamme Rouge Veilleux and Jungels still have 10 seconds to the sprinters. Cavendish is nowhere to be seen.
imageshack.us/a/img10/2894/wz0o.jpg
With 500 m to go the duo are caught by the charging Gorilla who looks set to take win number 2.
imageshack.us/a/img853/6995/sx10.jpg
And at the finish the Gorilla takes win number two for Germany! Marcel Kittel holds on for second place ahead of Matt Goss. Alexander Kristoff takes fourth ahead of Tom Boonen. Mark Cavendish takes sixth, Eddie Boss seventh, Farrar eighth, Mark Renshaw ninth, and Arnaud Demare of France rounds out the top 10.

Note I will no longer award points to every rider that finishes in the same time as the winner. 1 pt will still be awarded to riders 16-25 if they finish in the same time as the winner. The reasoning behind this is that it took an hour to go and award these single points and I fell asleep doing the points.
