The team send an incredibly strong squad there, understandably. Vichot surprised everyone by taking yellow on stage 4, going into the attack with Voeckler. Voeckler won the stage, Vichot yellow.
An even bigger surprise as Vichot won the next stage in yellow! Again attacking with Voeckler, this time having the upper hand in the final sprint!
After that, he lost the jersey in the mountain stage, and it was time for Pinot.

The Italian race was not as big a success for us. Finishing 2nd in the team time trial was the best result. Though Alexandre (Geniez) was really strong and consistent and finished on a beautiful 13th spot!

Profile
Don't underestimate this profile. It's really tough, constantly up and down. We're in for a hard day.
Squad
Casar has the most chance today!
Goals
Team Orders: Today we bet on Casar, a late attack. I want him surrounded.
Individual Orders: Don't waste energy in the first half, I expect you in the final 50 kilometers, doing some work!
Today's breakaway never got more than 3 minutes. We had it under control.
About 50 kilometers from the finish, it was time to thin out the peloton. Me and Alexandre relayed at the front, quite hard.
Androni was quick to take over! The pack was thinned out to 60 riders, we still had 4 riders left.
With enough riders left to protect Casar, I went onto the attack! I saw a chance and I went for it.
But I quickly came to regret that decision. The wind was blowing hard and the peloton was right behind me.
As soon as I got caught, Casar stepped up, with Alexandre taking the wind.
They were incredibly strong and made a gap! Alexandre is really tough!
And it was enough! Casar won the race! Another victory and I'm part of it! Amazing.

Overall a good day. Though Madiot wasn't too happy about my late attack after the race. He had to "set me straight".
Big news as Luca Paolini took the win in La Primavera! An attack on the Poggio sufficed for the victory.

Well, there it is. I'm truly sorry but I shan't be continuing this story after all. I guess some here will understand when I say I just don't feel it with Rémy. I'm not real connected to him or the story.
And PCM 2013 has a real new manager side of the game and, honestly, I'd rather get to know to game a bit more, and doing a story on the side is making that hard to do.
I'd also like to wait for bugs and future patches, because at first sight the game seems incredibly good! But, there are minor bugs and still things to be sorted out.
So for the moment I'm just gonna start a career and get to know the game. To be honest, the last time I've played Pro Cycling Manager without story-writing is about a year ago... Sorry for the people that were enjoying this. |

I enjoyed it, but it's okay.
I'm not sure if it's really smart to start a story on the release day anyway, exploring the game first is better anyway.
Take it easy Ian, you will probably not be able to resist story writing for very long anyway

I kinda expected something like this, although I of course hoped for it not to happen. But it's definetely the right decision. We'll be waiting

Very sad to hear, was a story with a good beginning. Like others have said, it might have been better to explore the game a bit before starting a story but it was fun while it lasted. You'll be back I'm sure

Thanks we'll see.
I might have been a bit too optimistic about PCM 2013, that's for sure. Mountain AI is beautiful but career is practically unplayable. Tried making a career with Bardiani (not for story, just for me), but it's impossible to play the career atm. Crashes etc... |
