Is it me, or is the development too fast? Second season will get the team massive points by having amazing stats.
Can't we halve points? You could still develop f.e Bakker's sprint from 69 to 76 in one year, and Hinault's climbing from 70 to 76/77(C'mon, if 1 stage-race is already 2/3 MO points...)
Or maybe letting youngsters develop a little bit slower than old guys(24 year's 0,6x the system, 23 0,55 22 0,5 21 0,45 20 0,4 19 0,35 18 0,3
Yes, 24 year old develop 2 times as fast as 18 years, but 18 years have way more years left and will be way way better than current 24 year olds are now when they are 24.
Just a suggestion, see what you do with it, but suggestions aren't a bad thing as you said
Don't forget he said "if you concentrate on MO only". If you want to raise secondary stats as well, it'll take much longer! |

True, but f.e TTists, have TT stats as 90% of the importance.
If you improve TT from 68 to 76 in year(definitely possible), then the guy will win every TT in CT races. In 1 year! For MO riders, having 77MO after 1 year will win you every mountain stage in the CT riders as well. Even despite backup stats. Well, that's a bit too much for me.
But right, it was just a suggestion of mine
It sounded reasonable though

@Jesl
It is reasonable, and some sort of scaling system would fit well. Or just don't give out that many points...

I liked the first option better

@Jesleyh: I see what you mean. Think about this though(using Mujagic as an example because he is a stage racer); at 68MO, 67HIL, 66STA, and 66RES/REC, he would need to be balanced. You wouldn't upgrade MO 7 times and then not worry about the other stats. No stage racer can make a good stretch with only 66 REC. Imagine Froome/Wiggins/Nibbles with ~70REC. Bad news.
@Ian: That is kind of the idea. To collect 300 points takes a few races, and that only covers 3 or 4 stats. And 300 points won't be collected as easily in CT because most races are classics/3-5 day stage races
@TMM: The points system is just based on performance. So in the beginning(as it should be), riders will earn maybe 10-15 points per every couple of race days.
@SSJ2Luigi: Of course you did.

But they'll be staying in the CT team maybe, and if the rider is still young, you'll have 10 of our guys dominating the CT, not really looking forward to that

My only worry is that the system will be unbalanced as time progresses. The better you get, the more results you get and the more points you will receive.
If a rider gets quite a few points early in the season, he will become unstoppable by the end. While a rider who has some bad luck at the start, will keep having a hard time collecting points.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Perhaps. As time progresses, U25 riders will graduate into other teams, therefore shall not receive all the benefits of being a U25 member. Quite the contrary, the get reports on progression rather than being a huge part of the story any longer. As a result, we'll see a very dynamic team and hopefully a balanced setup.

Can we give our favorite races for later on in the career? For example, I would really like to ride the Eneco Tour later on

This doesnt have anything to do with schedule
its just about giving your favorite races like you can see in the rider profile screen ingame
