These 100 times on Alpe are a bit strange, where is Sammu, Rolland, Contador? They all made top20 times post 2008 iirc.

Think that is a bit of misinformation that is one of the things Vetoo is hoping to dispel by publishing stuff like this
This link with a quick Google search suggests 2011 times are considerably longer https://djconnel.blogspot.co.uk/2011/0...ur-de.html

2004 was a timetrial so those times are generally faster as other years where the riders had raced 150 kms before the Alpe.
He was only 25th that day.

Ah, that explains it then. My cycling knowledge only goes back to 2009, didn't know about that. Still strange to see his name on there with all those climbers |

Back then, he still was France's next TdF winner. He only started focusing on the classics around 2008-2009.

Valery Kaikov (RusVelo) has tested positive in an out of competition test and has been suspended by his team immediately:

Strange that he has been riding so shit this season - 8 DNFs out of 11 starts.

I don't think anyone really saw him as a potential TDF winner here (although you can never prevent foolish people from existing), but he was the best hope for a high G.C. position, yes.
It was idiotic I think, just look at him and how he's built, physically, he's too heavy for his height to be shaped for climbing.
It was a smart move to focus on classics, I think. |

True for the weight, but Chavanel's style is more based on strength, rather than softness.
Might be efficient on one day races and time trials, but on the long term (10 days or more stage races) that must be too exhausting.
Now with Aicar, GW501516, and if he could "reinvent" the way he pedals to change it into something à la Armstrong, maybe he could stand a chance. |

Mrs. Froome did mention it on Twitter, but deleted it again a few minutes later. Apparently, people are doing a 'issoisso'

Makes one wonder who in their right mind would want to take this stuff, assuming they are aware of the risks. Sure maybe you might win something, assuming it assists you enough to get that good performance-wise, but geez the health drawbacks mightn't see you race or live for that long.

Ahhh the long tradition of partners being a total embarassment to their sporting other halfs continues unabashed, gotta love Twitter. Wonder how many responses she got like Isso's - I'm guessing it was in the 3 figure territory. |

Thomas Löfkvist has apparently broken his arm and will miss the next 6 weeks, including one of his big season goals in Romandie |

If it hasn't been mentioned; Armstrong is selling one of his houses. Had I bought it, I would spend all day long knocking on the walls and floor boards looking for secret compartments.
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"
