Transfer Season 13/14
Aquarius
Hushovd has experience (will he still be under contract next year), but not the top end speed, so they might work something out with those two (Thor launching Rick's sprints).

I actually totally forgot about him. Then it`s looking more promising. Wink

I've seen AToC so I should've remembered him, but after last season and most of this one, it's not too embarrassing to have forgotten him. Pfft

They know that sometimes young riders can do things too, right? Oh well, the further young riders are kept away from the likes of this team the better.

I think this time they wanted someone to start right away, mainly due to lacking a rider after Michael Rasmussens exit.

In other (slightly related) news Olympic gold medallist in Omnium 21-year old Lasse Norman Hansen is said to have signed with Garmin!

He have had some decent results this year winning GP Herning and the TT in Tour de Berlin, but I can't help thinking this looks like a bit too big a step for him. A year or two at a team on a level somewhere between WT and Blue Water Cycling would probably have been better for him?

He choose Garmin because they were willing to let him focus on Rio, so he will probably only race the smaller races. He seems like he is very dedicated and has even turned down offers from big teams before, so he is aware that he is taking a big step up.

During last year's World Championship I heard rumours that he had signed some sort of pre-agreement with Saxo for 2014. I wonder how Garmin managed to change his mind.

Interesting, though.

Rick Zabel signs with BMC. No details about the contract are known yet. Quite a big step for him, but I think it could be a real boost.

Rumours say Stetina will sign with Belkin

Surprise, surprise.
We have to wait and see whether it's a pleasant one, big respect for his decision though.

So I guess we'll see the two extremes in Germany side by side:
Go to a WT team barely turning 20, or stay in the lower divisions a bit longer.

He probably wants to develop there.

Not sure how reliable this is, but:

Will be interesting to see who the new Colombians are. My guess is Acevedo and / or Arredondo.

In English I think that translates roughly as, but I'm probably wrong:

Sergio Luis Henao signs for three years with the British Sky team. There are another two Colombians to be confirmed. He had an offer from Garmin.

The other two? No idea, Acevedo and Arredondo seem low key, but you never know

I hope it is not Quintana or Betancur...
One is imo Acevedo for sure.

I'll be back

Well nice to see my belief becoming confirmations ( said in January Uran would leave, Henao would stay ).

That was expected, although a 3 year deal surprised me a little, though he'd be on a 2 year deal.

Not so sure about Acevedo, I'd be willing it'd be more likely Arredondo actually, maybe a youngster that we don't know much about yet.

Avin, it's neither of Quintana or Betancur. Quitana extended with Movistar, and Betancur has one more year with AG2R.

I think Chamorro is most likely of all Colombians.

I always forget that cycling is not football which has nothing like some transfer ethics, but also in cycling you can change teams when under contract right?

I wonder if it could be Duarte. Work on his recovery and you've got a very good GT superdomestique for the mountains.

He's a very good shout. Although it has to be seen if they will go for more experienced older climber than complete youngster.

They do have biggest stage racing talent right now alongside Aru in Joe Dombrowski. As well as Boswell, which could clash a bit.
