The fact Kesler is in trade discussions is idiotic. He's our best player and has been for a long time. He's not too old, and he really should be our captain. He's a little injury prone, but he competes each and every night.
Then you look at the Sedins who, signed a big long extension and are clearly past it. But they are more important somehow? I would much rather we trade the Sedins and Edler. That would be enough for a semi-rebuild imo.
The first thing we should do is Fire Gillis tho. He has made 3x as many mistakes as he has actually made a positive move.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Gillis is an idiot and I hope this is the move that gets him fired, because it is a really dumb move.
Said before the season that we would stick with Lou now that Schneids is gone and he lasted an extra 7 months over Cory. I would rather we have made this deal last year and kept the younger goalie in Cory.
I want to see him and Tim Thomas's picture placed side by side, that would be funny as hell

The Wings on the ice during the GWG for the Devils were Sheahan, Quincey, Abdelkator, DeKeyser, Jurco, and of course Howard. Very disappointing loss we really needed at least that one point.

Wings trade for Legwand after news that Datsyuk is out for 3 weeks. They give up a good up and coming prospect Calle Jarnkrok, useless Patty Eaves, and a third round draft pick. The Wings need the reinforcement, but I just wish they didn't give up Jarnkrok.
That's the cost of trading at the deadline though.
