Right, just raced the final stage, will write it up late.
Points and Mountain jersey fireworks despite the nothingness of the criterium course.
Now accepting 8 man teams for Paris-Nice and Tirreno-Adriatico. Want them in the same post/PM please and obviously no rider can ride both. |

I think HQ's are a good idea, but perhaps it would be even better if we could make them in our sign-up post, and people went back and deleted some of their posts in the beginning? It's ha to keep track of HQ's if they're scattered all over the thread
I'll personally go clean up in my posts right now
Edit: Also it would make the "Manager of the season"part a lot easier for Welwyn to keep track of

No need to be sorry
Just figured that if we all made HQ if our first post and deleted other posts within the sign-up period we could still recreate it. I just did my part leaving your sign up at the middle of page 2. If (mainly) Froomedog, Welwyn and Manx do the same we would be close to goal...
We can do it!

SM: "This Adelaide Criterium course will cause absolutely nothing but a sprint finish. Therefore the only real possible shake up of GC would be if Germany attempted to leadout Wegmann for the stage win and the bonus seconds rather than Griepel. A plan that has precisely 0% chance of working. However, with a tie at the top of the points standings and with 2 almost non-existent category 3 climbs being given the same 16 point rating as every other mountain sprint, those two jerseys could see fireworks today."
SM: "We have an 8 man break of whom, all but Mikael Delage and Leonardo Duque, have points in at least one of the two competitions. Even them two could win the Mountains classification if they win both sprints."
SEAN KELLY: "This first points sprint looks like it might prove how important these are going to be today. It is exceptionally close but I think that Christer Rake has got it from Hollenstein and Sergio Sousa"
SM: "It's an attack looking for the first mountain sprint points. Sousa has initiated it and we have three others going with him. This is crazily tight between him, John Murphy and Jure Kocjan. I think we'll have to wait for the screen graphic for the definitive answer."
SM: "It's the Slovenian that has got it and that takes him to 36 points and the lead in the competition."
SK: "They had given 2nd to Murphy (now 24pts) ahead of Sousa (20pts)."
SM: "We have just missed the 2nd sprint point due to the commercial break but it was a repeat top three to the first one. This means that Rake joins his compatriot Hushovd and Matty Goss as joint leaders on 18 points."
SK:"Kocjan has got the drop on the break for the 2nd mountain sprint."
SM: "Murphy and Sousa are trying to catch him but they can't and Jure Kocjan secures the Tour Down Under mountain jersey."
SM: "So with a km to go it's sprint time with the germans deciding to just go with Griepel for the stage win, Cav is being lead out by David Miller but there goes Griepel, and Rojas Gil is going past too. Is that Goss in 3rd? It is and that will secure the points jersey and I think Farrar even pipped Cav into 5th.

Cancellara will be present at Paris-Nice as a warmup for the Flanders classics. He will also be present at Le Tour later this year and may be at La Vuelta/Giro if possible (dependent on race day limit). |

Great stuff from Vorganov hanging on the the lead during the Old Willunga hill and the Adelaide criterium! Totally unexpected but very pleasing result from Russia - great start to the season! Hope it can continue this way!
