Wiggins where he wanted to be. 2nd is perfect for him here, RSNT will have to do major work tomorrow along BMC and Liquigas.

Surprisingly strong from Chavanel, while Wiggins lost all his time on Cancellara in the first part.
Wonder where Tony Martin wouldve ended up.

Will be intresting to see who does most of the work for them. Schleck, Horner, Kloden go for the gc, they will also want to have Zubeldia and Monfort stay at the front. Gallopin might want to go for a good stage result so probably Voigt and Popo.

He would not, he is 22 seconds back, that costed him not so much imo...

I'm not sure of that. He'd have most likely beat Wiggins, but Cancellara was very strong today.

It is good to see Cancellara win that, the question is would he have beaten Tony Martin if Martin didn't puncture? I am pretty sure Martin would have been second.
Menchov surprised, he has been so typical for him coming in so very quiet and he turns out a great performance.
But Wiggins looks very strong, the signs are he really is going to hurt everyone on the TTs.

What was Martin's time at the first check? He said he didn't notice the puncture till after the check, so I doubt it cost him much until then.

Martin lost a good 20 seconds, I counted and then of course his momentum as well.
To me there's no question he would have won.

Same time as Chavanel
Cancellara would have won today. Martin would have come either 2nd, 3rd or 4th.

Same as Chavanel, so 1" slower than Cancellara. It would have been very close.

It isn't looking good for Rolland to get a top 10 this year. If he loses this much time today think how much he will lose in the long TTs.
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring.

Tony said he felt his punture when he was going round the roundabout. His rear tyre was sliding so i guess he lost some time there as well, then he had to slow down, stop, wait for the new bike, regain momentum. That's 20 secs AT LEAST and he was +22 behind Fabian.
But still congrats to Fabian

Valverde and Sanchez are both very decent time trialists when in shape, but what just happened today? Mediocre ride by contenders as JVD, Gesink and Leipheimer as well though a longer TT will suit them a lot better.
Valverde and Sanchez a long with Schleck, Horner and Rolland will surely have to put on a show in the mountains. Interesting whether Gesink or JDV decides to join them.
... and Menchov. Look out for him.
