I think the one that's laughing silentely is Kreuz. as long as they don't really trash him he TT could wrap it all up.

Doubt that. His TT hasn't been good this year, while his climbing has improved.
I can see him podiuming, max.

He says this is the first time in his life he hasn't peaked too early for a GT. Let's see if that has an impact.
Oh for sure. I've never seen him like this in the really long climbs.
He improved his TT very much so too this year He was 59th in Tirreno TT which was a great feat for him and then 6th in Pais Vasco TT.
Being 59th in a short ITT isn't anything special for him. And the PV ITT was VERY (emphasis on very) hilly. He might have improved, but not so much. That's irrelevant anyway, you could TT backwards and still win this Giro.
Indeed, if he keeps going like that TT will have no importance whatsoever. He's definitely improved though, he was 44th in Giro prologue ( 9km) as well as well rode very strong TTT with Katusha being 2nd Thing is he won't loose as much in that last TT as CountArach states.
TTs on the final day are a different thing altogether though. He has a history of blowing up at some point during GTs. Now, if he really is in better form than he has ever been in, then it is impossible to say. Time will tell.

Well if he blows up somewhere during the 3rd week, he won't win and won't go full on TT. If he's 1st till the last day then he will do a good TT and I am cofident he will loose very little or none to others GC riders. Time will tell as you rightly said.

Why not? Alpe di Pampeago is a climb like today's one but a bit steeper and longer.
Henao could do top-5 since Uran is now completely out of the race.

Rujano lost 4'15. Bye-bye overall for him, no doubt.

Don't really get what Pampago's got to do with Henao's TT skills?
It's not relevant because the TT won't decide anything, unless the favourites keep racing like pussies and attacking with 1km to go. And even in that case, differences could be too big by then anyway.

What an effort by Rabbotini
would've put good money on Rodriguez leaving him for dead, but he stuck wiht him and then nabbed him at the final corner
Henao staying with the Basso/Scarponi group is immense, future GT winner for sure
Wednesday will be crucial for GC, before the battle up the Stelvio (i personally think Joaquim will lose time up the Stelvio, and then the final TT won't really matter) |

I mean if he keeps doing well in the mountains, and he holds on in the TT he could have a good final GC.
I think the TT will decide some places in top-10 but not the pink jersey.

Man, Henao was great. Hope he'll continue like that. Rabottini is on another level though after that effort, what a win for him.

Sure. He's doing well so far, and while some of the next stages are much harder and he could crack, so far he looks a shoo-in for a top 10 and with a fair chance of a top 5.

Boring uninspiring mountain stage. Favorites attacked very late and obviously Rodriguez profits most from this type of scenario.
Rujana and Pozzovivo as expected suffering from cold and rain, especially Rujano. The weather killed his chances once more. |

Bulgac finishing in front of Rujano, wtf?
Cataldo is still doing well, top 10 contender perhaps? |

Rujano in cold+rain is the same as Hagen in 270km hard classics. It just doesn't go for some reason |

I think those 2 are just in bad shape. Pozzo won the Trentino with a very cold weather and Rujano looses every Mountain Stage Time. Henao doesnt like cold weather either and was having a good day today. Dont think the weather is an excuse. I wasnt expecting those two to lose so much time either but thats the way it is.
By the way great race from Henao, trying to have a top 10 place in the GC and working for Cav in the Flat Stages must be really hard.

That was a very nice gesture from J-Rod. Obviously he had to power full throttle to the end, but when he noticed that Rabottini was still with him, he let him have it. True gentleman sport!
