Absolutely crazy stage.

Great Konig, shame he still suffers from the back problems
Nice one from Fuglsang also, these two are the best in Austria probably...

Radioshack was going an incredible pace at the beginning of the stage cause di Luca dropped on the first mountain. on großglockner there were just less than 30 riders in the front group but di luca managed to come back with betancourt. Fuglsang said in the interview after the race the tactics were that he and Rohregger attack di Luca cause he has no domestique left except Betancourt. So Fuglsang attacked first and had really fast a big gap cause di Luca and Betancourt can't go his tempo. Too bad Rohregger had no chance to attack cause he looked even stronger on the climbs than Fuglsang. He countered every attack from the group riders easily but wasn't going to lead because of Fuglsang. But he said he would try something today at the final climb. Even tough he said Fuglsang is the much better time trialist and now the favourite for the tour win. |

I don't know if Démare has been over-hyped, nor if I can generalise based on the French championships, but from what I saw there, and according to each of them number of victories, Démare looks like the guy with the great potential, but who'll always get something in his way that'll prevent him from getting a massive palmares, whereas Bouhanni is a killer winning every sprint he enters.
I'm really looking forward to seeing him sprinting against big guns one of these days (at la Vuelta if not before). |

But Démare is a neo-pro, and has already had a (quite) better season than Bouhanni did in his first year in the pro ranks.
