If Rogers is in any sort of form then him giving away 7 seconds at the end is pretty stupid.

I dont think he would have lost 7 seconds if he could have avoided it.
Sky werent like Wiggins last year, working, then dropping off and rolling in.

I heard there is a really tough hill before the finish tomorrow.
Sky has to use that and distance Boom. Because in the ITT I doubt they are going to do it considering Boom's short ITT's record the past few years |

Look. Cycling is a very simple sport, where 200 riders participate in a race, and at the end Philippe Gilbert wins. |

I remember that sentence just with a different sport, and it didn't work the last 7 consecutive occasions...

He did. Cummings, Boom and Thomas went, Cummings went clear of the other 2 and got a gap, before a very impressive Jonathan Tiernan-Locke went past to cross the top solo, with a small gap on Cummings, then Konig, then a few others, then the Boom/Thomas group.
It regrouped on the descent. Dean led Hushovd into the final turn perfectly, whereas Thomas messed up his line there and lost his speed.

Cummings was the one who really attacked.
Boom never left Thomas wheel as far as I read from the reports? |

Early on in the climb, it was Cummings with a slight gap to Thomas and Boom, with a further gap to the peloton. Thomas was really going for it, but Cummings was the stronger Sky rider, and gradually a few others - such as Tiernan-Locke climbed past Thomas/Boom.
Boom did stay on Thomas wheel all the way to the top, before they then swapped positions for most of the run in, until Thomas tried an ambitious move on the final turn and lost out. Id have thought Boom would have gone tried to gain time on Thomas if he had the legs to do so - unless he was pretty convinced from the outset that the descent would bring things back together.

Boom is counting on his TT I think, and knows that Thomas is the biggest danger there.
Since it's only 8.8km and Boom won 2 prologues and did well in various short (<15km) ITT's this season I guess he has every reason to be confident |
