That's quite an easy problem.
Lets name the points to make things easier:
You can see that ADE is just a smaller version of ABC.
To find the lenght of BC, we need to compare the 2 triangles.
AB compares to AE
AC to AE
BC to DE
We already know AE, AB, and DE so it is quite easy. We set up a ratio table:
We now fill in the data we have:
We then look for BC by using cross multiplication. That means, we multiply 10 with 2, and 0,5 with BC.
Now we know that: 0,5BC = 20
We devide both 0,5BC and 20 by 0,5, so we get the whole BC:
BC = 10
EDIT: wrong ratio table, wrong answer, screw this
Incredible..
Seriously, are you 14 years old...?
Either you or the Dutch school system are geniuses... |

fcancellara had the correct idea but calculated wrong obviously.
AB is 10,5m and not 10m.
And the table is correct. Only your calculation then has a mistake.

It's a very simple problem if you ask me
And I have never been good at Maths!

Here is another easy one. Try to prove it: The real part of any non-trivial zero of the Riemann zeta function is 1/2.

Haha, I did this 2 years ago during maths, but I still suck at it (at least compared to the rest of my class).
I am doing bilingual education plus gymnasium (only Latin, Greek was boring) though, which is the highest possible education for my age

I remember doing this problems in like 7th or 8th grade... I then moved on to complete college statistics and AP Calculus before I finished high school. Yes I love Math, I'm a nerd

Yeah, I did problems like that many years ago. Nowadays we learn much more pointless stuff, although I can never remember exactly what you do with pythagoras problems like that over the summer
Good thing I have Math in the 2nd semester this year, so I dont have to worry about it for a while

Just found some videos with outtakes of several songs from the 90's!
My God, the memories!
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

Don't you have a radio station that plays oldies? I listen to "Radio Nostalgic" all the time, all songs from late 60s to 90s |

Youtube! It was one of those videos with a "medley" of 20-30 songs, I remembered every single one and it brings back very good memories!
The 90's were a good decade for me!

What grade are you in Sweaty? With that Math I'd guess 5th. Maybe 6th.
