Hesjedal really worked hard for that and deserves it more than anyone else here possibly could. Almost no one else attacked over the three weeks and they were justly punished for that.

..And Hesjedal wins the Giro. I was hoping for a miracle from De Gendt 
But Hesjedal rode really well. His determination and courage paid off. Good on him.
