Let's just hope Dombrowski is not true. That would be horrible.

Completely agreed. I don't know him personally, but I know plenty of people that do (he came up through the same club I ride for), and most people describe him as being very quiet and unassuming (he certainly didn't react when another guy and I started heckling him while he was destroying the field at a cross race last fall). I'm not sure he'd really push for spots, and on a team like Sky, that could stunt his development. I'd much rather see him at, dare I say it, Garmin...

Take 8th place in every race, like they always do?

They still have Boom who will like you said finish in Top 10 or if riders like Flecha,Cancellara,Hushovd will be injured and Pozzato and Chavanel puncture like this year that he might think at a top 5.

CQ Ranking has it as finished as well.
It's not 100%, but I think it's probably correct. |

How about Lars Boom? I think his preformance at the las P-R was good enough to make him a possible winner in 2013...
Spoiler But I'm Dutch, so dont trust my opinion!
Guess who's back?
Lets see how many friens are still around...

The same they've been doing? It's not like Breschel has got some impressive results with them or something.

I'd say there are 25 guys who could legitimately win P-R next year. The reason is simple. In form, Boonen and Cancellara are a clear cut above everyone else. Boonen is arguably the GOAT on cobbles, and Cancellara has shown himself to be at that quality, although he's had his fair share of bad luck of the years. No one else at the moment comes close to them, and they know it, and will be targeting each other, and really only each other. If they aren't marking everyone else, who knows what'll happen. It reminds me of this passage from the bible of cycling, 'The Rider':

Great passage, and very true
There are many that can win Paris - Roubaix, of course.
Maybe Boom one day. |

I mentioned the Joe D rumors to my team's listserv, and one of the guys responded that Joe D tactfully avoided answering him when the guy asked him whether he was going to Sky a couple weeks back.
Sounds kind of guilty to me, although again, apparently he's a pretty sheepish guy. I can't hate the dude though. Seeing him ride in person, such a fucking beast. And also, writing from knowing people who him, he's apparently a great person. I can't say I love Sky (obviously), but I'm not nailing the guy for choosing them if he felt it was his best option. |

Ok, if Dombrowski goes to Sky, why is that so horrible?
He may not be a leader, doubt he would be at most WT teams in his first year.
He may not reach his full potential. That is not a valid arguement, mostly cause no-one knows his potential, he could already be at it, it could only be another minute of so uphill, it could be that he could be the best ever, we dont know therefore it doesnt hold up, unless we accept everyone is going to be the best ever until they aren't.
or is it people hate sky?
They may just have made him the best offer; most money, long contract, agreed to support him in certain races etc.
Things other teams wouldnt offer etc.
I'm sure he can make a better decision than people here.
And if he races for Sky you can still support him. I support riders over teams all the time, its not hard...

Dombrowski's doing what's best for him, there's no reason to hate him.
If you want to hate a young american, hate Talansky, he at least deserves it.

There's probably a story behind this, so I have to ask - why?
