Real crushed Valencia 5-0, one day after Barça lost against Real Sociedad, 2-3. It's incredible what Ronaldo does in Madrid, without him, they suck completely.
Ronaldo scored his 20th!!! hattrick for Real Madrid on weekend, including spectacular long range rocket. What a player, shame that he is in shadow of the midget for many, including Fifa.

Well, since "the midget" is the better player (note: I'm not denying that CR7 is spectacularly good), I guess it's no wonder that Ronaldo is somewhat in the shadow of him
Since when he is a better player and who decide that, you or Blatter? He is certainly not more complete football player, what he is best at is converting the chances created from two of the best playmakers in history of football, i cant deny that.
He would be half a player anywhere from Barcelona or Spanish league, that can be hardly said about Ronaldo imo, who is also much more mportant for his national team, where Messi usually play shite (like we have seen in South Africa).

Ronaldo was so much better for Portugal then. Oh wait...

Well, first of all, of course I decide who is the best player I have just as much competence as everyone else to do so. My statement wasn't completely serious, this is a subjective thing and we'll never come to a final conclusion.
Secondly: Why do you say he's more complete? Of course you can say he's more valuable to Real than Messi to Barca and I won't even argue against that. But that's just because Barca is a fastastic team and Real is just a bunch of (mostly) great individual players. It's obvious that CR stands out more in a weaker team. As to simply converting chances into goals: Messi has 9 assists this season in the Primera Division, Ronaldo has 5. Of course it's just a number but Messi is so much more than just the finisher and to say otherwise is ignorant.
The argument that he's weaker when not being at Barca is probably the most commonly used one against Messi. The problem is that it's hard to prove. Sure, he doesn't play that good with Argentina (no wonder, since no team is as good as Barca), but when was the last time Ronaldo did anything with Portugal? He scored one goal in each of the previous Worlds. In my opinion, the teams are similarly strong and Messi's goal quote in the national team is even higher than Ronaldo's, btw.
Sure, Ronaldo has proven at United that he can do well in another environment, but just because Messi is benefitting from his current one shouldn't mean he wouldn't do well somewhere else.
As I said, we won't come to a conclusion, but it's always nice to have this argument
Ronaldo under Queiroz only scored a goal for the national team. That between 2008 and 2010. And it was against North Korea. Only when Paulo Bento became national coach, Ronaldo started playing better with Portugal, and became the most important player there. Nowadays, Ronaldo is basically the "team", Real or Portugal without him would be average. I can't talk about Messi right now, because I can't remember the last time he didn't play a match for Barcelona and Argentina, but I can say that Messi too is important for his national team. Without him they wouldn't be where they are now.
There is no valid argument to back up the claim that Ronaldo is a better player than Messi. It's as simple as that. If you think so you are too blinded by fanboyism to admit it. Or portuguese
Or can anyone provide a good argument?

Actually, most of the portuguese football fans find Messi a better player

I don't claim his better than Messi, same as I don't claim Messi's better than him. Because it's hard to get good arguments to corroborate any case of these two, for me I'll stick them in the same level, and both are important in their ways, having influence on their team in their ways. Just now I'm able to say that Neymar is yet to be as good as these two, as some claim. He needs to mature more, and he needs to leave Brazil if he wants to show that he too can compete for the Ballon d'Or.

Well, as Avin said, Messi plays in the best team in ages, maybe the best team that ever existed. I'm not following Real too closely but it seems like the only offensive player besides Ronaldo that is actual top class at the moment might be Mesut Özil. Still, Ronaldo plays on an extremely high level.

Yeah, I don't see Neymar as one of the 10 best players in the world. Why? Because 1. He plays in Brazil, and the defenders are like crap there. 2. He only scored 54 goals in 102 games, which isn't that special, especially in Brazil.
3. His consistency(if you look at tricks etc.) isn't really high. In fact, it's pretty low. But the things we get to see are his 10% of tricks where he did succeed. Of course, he can dribble past some defenders, but only 10% of his tries are actually special. Most of the people only see that 10%, and do claim that he's a huge talent.
Yes, I agree, he is a spectacular dribbler, but for now, I don't see him as a great player. He has to prove himself in Europe first.
(+ He has to change his attitude. It seems worse than Ronaldo's was at Man United, with diving + arrogance etc.)
Don't get me wrong, I think he's very good. But he's very far away from Messi & Ronaldo for me, since he plays at a (defensively) weak league.

Neymar has great vision too and the goal per game ratio the last year has been around 1. He has also proven to be able to shoot great free kicks. He has also been showing a more humble attitude lately. So a lot of things point to him not becoming a new Robinho. If he's gonna fit into Barca's system is a whole other question though...
