You don't need to create a mini league for each race now. One is created for the entire season now.

Another great achievement from the King. Congrat mate
My own selections should be forgotten in a haste. Everything went wrong. The "smart" move to transfer in Kittel and Groenroad for the Schelde was embarrassing. We all know how that ended.
This year has been utterly fiasko and so far I have to dwell on my 3 total race wins overall. Now the Great Russell I believe have joined me and standing beside him (for awhile) on the pdoium in race wins is an honour.
Believe I haven't even cracked the top-10 in any race this year. I will indeed fire my DS promptly
Lets see if my bad judgement, bad luck and poor selections continue in the Swiss Alps.
Good luck mates.

There should be a handicap race for Ian. He should start the season 50 points or something behind everyone. We might all have a chance then!! |

If the last couple of seasons are anything to go by if he had a 50 point handicap it would simply reduce his winning margin by 50 points

With the Spring Classics win I kind of feel that it's major mission accomplished, I've been striving to win that one forever! Think the intensity of prep will now suffer some, the Romandie team was already a bit slap dash after that. If by some chance I somehow get lucky enough to take this years contest (and there is plenty of luck involved) I am standing down thereafter - making way for new blood...before I'm pushed from a great height!
It'll also be good to have someone winning with a bit more flair rather than my typical Zubeldia like approach of consistent top 10's...

Why not skip the Giro to see if anyone can catch you then, Ian? |

I believe I should have 2 points more. You might not have noticed that me and KemboTony share 6th place in the spring classics game.

FinallY on the list at first page
Ringo how many players do you include here?
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

Squire - I've updated your points on my spreadsheet so you scored 40 in the Spring classics, same as KemboTony. Velogames seems to be a bit random when players score the same. I've got it open now and you are shown above KT this time. I don't really want to have to check everyone's scores to make sure that no-one is matching going forward so here is what I propose going forward.
I have checked the Spring Classics game for matches and awarded extra points to Lord di Lego, Purepasd and Selwink. All of the changes will show up when I update the league table after the Tour de Romandie.
Going forward I will check that the scores for the players in 25th and 26th don't match but won't check anyone else. Let me know if you think you are due extra points and I will check and update accordingly.
Kalach - There are 50 players who have scored points so far this season. Plenty more who have scored 0 points so far but you only get on to my table once you score a point. Last year the final table had 85 players.

Teams that are equal on points are ranked randomly, it seems. Changes with every page refresh. There should have been ranking numbers in a column to the left. Why that hasn't been included is beyond me.
Can't guarantee that I would've made you aware if I was on the lucky end of the mistake, and not KemboTony.

I'll try to keep an eye out for it going forward but everyone should just let me know if they think I've missed anything.
Meanwhile my Romandie team has been a disaster

Congratulations to Kalach on Romandie. You really needed either to make room for the price of Roglic or to have faith in a swift recovery for Bernal. I didn't have the foresight for either so a big fat fail here!

Picking Thomas and Ion Izagirre over Bernal was a huge mistake...
But had some solid picks. Roglic obviously. But also stage wise with Ackerman, Bohli, Matthews and Buchmann. |

Second place
Usually I lurk around the bottom somewhere but now I was very lucky with my picks.

Congratulations to Kalach.
Started OK, but Thomas didn't perform. Thought Spilak and Albasini would perform better as well, they usually do really well in Swiss races.
Looks like Bernal is a points guarantee. I'll pick him for the next race he's in, but he'll do really badly!!!! |

@ianrussell @gargatouf thank you guys. It has been my first overall win. Its pretty hard to get only one but both of you have managed to win more than twice overall
I was more lucky this time with my predictions and team selection.
Now, lets move to the Giro, which will be very tricky.
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

Also notice Freitas scored well again and moves into the top 10 of the in Velogames season standings league, while my pitiful performance drops me down from 3rd to outside the top 10. PCM has 3 around the top 20 of those standings too, which is nice
