Rui Costa wins his first stage since the one in Critérium du Dauphiné, Nibali loses time, Bernal impressed again, but Oscar Sevilla is an absolute legend:

The Wellens legend continues!
How many of his victories have come after a hilly day in shit weather, crossing the line alone?
Of his 7 crossing-line wins (not counting GC wins), only final stage of Paris-Nice (in front of Contador), and his stage win in last Giro are in sun weather. The rest, 2x Eneco stages, GP Montreal, Poland stage and today have been in shit weather
Thanks.
Big fan, real grind and grit rider, long breaks, whats not to like. |

I cant be sad when Tim Wellens wins, despite beating Valverde in Mallorca; a TRUE bike rider! |

Mayuko Hagiwara took a podium in Cadel Evans Great Ocean, an unusual good result from a Japanese rider.

Quick Step wins again in San Juan, with their third different rider: Richeze takes the win in a breakaway. Mollema is still the leader ahead of tomorrow's last stage (also flat)

wrong thread, and it's not that unusual for Hagiwara who is an always underrated/forgotten rider

FFS, why did I choose Gaviria in the fantasy game if all he does is pass out wins to Boonen and Richeze?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Arndt takes out the Cuddles race from Gerrans and a rejuvenated Cam Meyer who was active at the TDU, had a good result here and should be looking for a stage win at the Sun Tour.

What mostly springs to my mind is Restrepo. Awesome talent and good for Colombia to get something else than just climbers, Restrepo is very all around, climbs decently and sprints well, but above all seems to have a good punch on short/shorter hills. |

Kudos to the host broadcasters for providing terrible coverage of the last kilometre. Seriously not showing Arndt's winning sprint was atrocious, but instead they focused on Meyer on the left of the screen. It's a shame because this race has potential...

This is what happens when commercial television stations get the rights to events they know nothing about, a big commercial station has the rights to the TDU and the coverage is full of rubbish and a different one has the Cuddles race and they have no idea how to frame the race. We have a free to air station down here who has been doing cycling for 20+ years but don't have the money to compete for the rights to those two races so we get awful coverage from people who don't know what they are doing.

Apropos Ewan and Gaviria domination (when he got the sprint), I've written an article on those two for feltet.dk. I hope the Danes will give it a read!
