While Zabel is good at finding the right wheel, my GT leaders are unable to follow the right attacks... When every other favorite attacks you join them instead of waiting 3 km...

What a stage. Great attacks there with most riders following. Pleased to see some less active riders like Velits or Uran going with the first moves this time.
Vesuvio must have thought, they have Andy Schleck here. Weird move.
Pluchkin just the strongest. No chance to lose it even when allowing others a stage. |

Rafael Valls fighting very strongly there to get himself to 11th in the GC!
Not far off the Top 10 but with good riders behind him.
Let's hope he keeps up the great performances.

At the moment I do not see anyone in the position of gaining more than 1 minute and a half on Pluchkin. There still are tons and tons of mtfs (stage 20 could see anyone having a bad crisis) but looks like his close rivals don't even try to attack him, they're just trying to settle for the 2nd to the 10th places... Hopefully I'm really really wrong though, there's the next mountain finish to prove me wrong actually.

Nah, hopefully you are really really right.
There is still much to go though and anything can happen, including crashes...

Shame about losing out on the stage win but everythin else is going great, 8th on GC, white jersey and team classification, top drawer. Thanks for the reports SN.

Henao needs to find his rhythm. And soon.

Pluchkin seems a cut above the rest here.
If I'm not mistaken, he was the big favorite before the race and possibly will end up with quite a gap to n°2 |

Pluchkin is very dominant here it seems, I think he could even just control the race now, take it relatively easy and still win. The battle for 2nd seems to be most interesting now, but I think Amador should be able to take that in the end.

Morton 7 minutes behind that guy, who SotD was ranting at so often
Pluchkin is just a beast this year. Only a crash can prevent him from winning this easily!
And guys... breakways? No?

Hmm guys. Attack perhaps?
Lecuisinier doing well - But will fade once third week starts with crazy 2nd tier attacks gaining 15 minutes.

Awesome aggressive riding by Sicard. Almost on the podium now! Not sure if he can keep it up, but it looks like everyone - except for Pluchkin - are pretty even.
Just gotta hope he crashes out |

Pluchkin is definitely a level ahead of everyone else. But it has been a good start to the mountains for me, Amador lost a little bit yesterday but put himself in great position today. Taaramae is very menacing though, I would give him the edge for 2nd in the end.

Great performance from Uran so far, if he can keep this up, top 5 might be possible, but it looks more likely that he will end up in 6th. It will all depend on Sicard as they're very similar riders so anything can happen.
Seeing Uran ride like this makes his Giro performance sting even more.

The only good thing I can take from the last two stages is that Elissonde is going to be cheap to renew next season... |

Uran going great isn't the best thing for Martin's chances to climb ut the GC standings, but admittedly the way our captain is riding now, we should look behind and try to defend that 7th place instead of looking to gain time on those in front.
Cool to see Nesset again involved in a midstage attack, hopefully our riders will continue to do such things, at least it makes the great reports even more interesting from my team's perspective
Behind Pluchkin it's a very open GC, but the Moldovan is just in a league of his own, which you kind of expect looking at the stats. |

Damn, not a great stage really.
Jose basically behind the 8 ball from the get go on that climb.
Good stuff though behind Pinchkin - who is absolute boss.

Very pleased with this so far. There's been some proper beasting from big guns this year and Pluchkin is continuing in that vein.
