Eurosport just cut straight to some pointless football match after the stage.
ARD in germany didn't even show Tony crossing the line. They cut to some random show directly after Stybar won.
wasn't today's stage ridden slower than the slowest time schedule would predict. that's probably the reason they cut away immediatly

Sagan isn't bad tactically but it's almost imposible for him to ride a smart race when often times, especially on a stage like this, when it's Sagan vs Everyone Else. He can't attack cause he'll be chased by 5 teams and no-one would work with him in a break. He can't sit in because he doesn't have a team to pull for him. He understands that winning is hard so he goes for the Points and consistency whilst others battle more for the win than him. A Green Jersey in 2012, 2013 and 2014 (and probably 2015), and a few stage wins in that time, shows that he is doing a lot more things right than wrong.
Still don't like him though, even if he is talented

Sagan did not make a bad decision today. Same when Gallopin won last year. Problem is he's alone with 30 riders on his wheel. one teammate and he wins those stages.
Contador should totally have tried to be up there and help Sagan today. Same could be said for Mur de Bretagne in 2 days where Sagan is massive favorite again. Same for Majka or Kreuziger |

Contador? Help? He does not have that word in his vocabulary.
I wonder what happened to Kreuziger, he said he is in great form before Tour and now he is just nursuring Alberto, that is probably his only job.

Followed by stupid Tinkov babbling that Sagan could at least won 5 stages, if he was any good and do what he, Oleg, told him. While Alberto is in unfair situation because others cheat by not riding all GTs in one year.

is Froome allowed to start in yellow? Martin finished the stage and is still in yellow technically despite him not starting tomorrow
edit: iirc, Contador didn't start in yellow the day after Rasmussen was fired by Rabobank in 2007. Rabobank ruined their only chance on yellow at the paris

I don't know the rules for that. But I think he can wear it.

He could have won 5 stages if just he had any team. Clearly the strongest, even on totally flat roads. I dont get how you seriously cant support such a rider, and instead use 7 d'tiques on Contador who got distanced every time Landa was allowed to go which probably will be worse when Froome and Quintana decides to go, possibly on La Pierre Martin.
Fucking Saxo. |

can't Tony borrow some collarbones from Trentin? Even if they're the wrong way around?

As far as I understand, Froome will have the option of wearing yellow as the race leader, but I'd expect he will not as it is one of those unwritten rules.

I think TdF stage win number 5 for Sagan today...either that or his 14th 2nd place! Not sure I'd get good odds on that prediction
Pleased I bet the farm on this one - bookies are a whole pound poorer this evening |
