After a quite pleasant first year in the ProTour, our team is coming back for hopefully another succesful season in the highest level of cycling. The Oz's management has prepared itself for the new campaign and is happy to announce a well known core of sponsors, that already supported our project in this past 2015 season. There's still at least one significant change to be revealed today:
Jayco stepped up to become our team's main sponsor, with the National Australian Bank still providing it's sponsorship, that now goest into it's fifth year with our team. So while our beloved nab-star is kept on the shirt, we will see our new main supporter making it's mark in the team's name: Jayco'z Cycling Project.
We say "Jay, coz Cycling is true".. well, something like that, maybe..
As previously announced, we are also going to reveal two confirmed NC shirts for the upcoming season. It's time to say thanks to our new shirt designer bwiggins, who did a nice job to keep our (2015 yellow style) and mix it with a new design for our second year in the ProTour. We are particularly delighted to present the NC shirts for Australia (Jack Bobridge & Miles Olman) and China (Haijun Ma). Two countries we focus on:
Opposing to some rumors at the beginning of the season (and we actually did have some negotiations with different interested sponsors), The Oz won't add a Chinese company to support our team for the upcoming season: "It's still in our minds and we did have some interesting meetings regarding this topic. We just couldn't make a way to find a proper solution for every party involved.. including ourselves. China remains a piece of our strategy to support cycling in Asia though. It's great to have Haijun Ma taking the double in the championships then", said Oz manager TS Moha in today's shirt release event.
