It has now been confirmed that Riis have been sacked from Tinkoff-Saxo.
No further details regarding why, and a confidientiality clause is enacted, so it will probably be some years before we get to know the full details.
Full goodbye to cycling from Riis or will he stay in some other capacity? Perhaps as organizer of exclusive "cycling-tourism" events as he's already begun with/for Saxo Bank (the Bank, not the team) or as a scout/rider manager?
Riis could be forced out of cycling anyway once the ADD report comes out, guesss there is a Gran Fondo for him to run like the ex postal posse
I'm not entirely sure as to why people think that the ADD report will do any meaningful damage to Riis.
We all know what Jaksche, Hamilton and Rasmussen claims Riis has done. Nothing new. And if there's no new(er) allegations against Riis, it's outside the statute of limitations anyway.

I am not saying it will be anything new that will end Riis, I just think after him being sacked by Tinkoff and with that report he might be a little "toxic" and won't find a place in the pro peloton. In saying that he has managed survive this long so it wouldn't be a shock if does manage to find a place running a team again

Valverde and Movistar are considering the Ronde. I would love to see him take part in that race. Obviously, he wont win, but I dont think a top-10 is compltely unrealistic giving his endurance, form at the moment and the fact that Ronde is the closest of the cobbled races to the ardennes.
Would love to see Valverde give it a try in the Ronde though the second part of the Kwaremont is way too tough for him or anybody else who doesn't come close to 75-80kgs.
