Brazil will be more than comfortable in their group, anything less than 9 points should be unacceptable. Hard to pick 2nd place between Croatia and Mexico, but probably the central americans.
Spain and Netherlands should get 6 points minimum, but the top the group? Spain should edge it.
Colombia favorites in their group and i'd pick Ivory Coast to go second. Greece will run them for it though. I just don't have faith in Japan.
England to top their group (obviously) with Italy second. Uruguay have a couple of great individuals but their overall team is nothing special.
Ecuador and you'd expect France to go through. But i'd watch out for the Swiss as they can be really really good on their day. Kind of depends which France turns up
Argentina and Bosnia. Should be simple but Nigeria could provide a bit of an upset to Bosnia if they are not careful.
Germany and Portugal to dominate their groups. 6 points minimum and Germany to top. Though if either slips up both Ghana and USA have talent to pounce and progress.
Belgium and Russia to top the final group. You'd expect Belgium to take first but i always say watch out for the Russians as they are a good team.
Can't wait for the tournament to begin, slightly annoyed i won't be able to watch it uninhibited as i'll be working for most of it.

Chile is my favorite for that group (It's super close though), saying that Spain and Netherlands SHOULD get 6 points minimum is ignorance in my eyes

i think, that the netherlands will be first, then spain and then chile...the dutch had a great qualification round. chile has some good players, but if 1 or 2 of them miss(or if they are not in a good form) they have no other good alternatives...and just because you have some good players, you are not a good team, though. it depends on how the team can work together...spain and netherland have proven it, chile not.

Figured I'd through in my predictions. Which will likely be wrong
Group A - Brazil and Croatia
Group B - Spain and Chile
Group C - Colombia and Ivory Coast
Group D - Uruguay and England
Group E - Ecuador and France
Group F - Argentina and Bosnia
Group G - Germany and Portugal
Group H - Belgium and Russia
From there I'd reckon the last 8 to be:
Brazil
Spain
Colombia
Uruguay
Ecuador
Argentina
Germany
Belgium
And then it's anyones guess. Fancy Colombia myself |

The thing with Chile is that they are really not that dependant on their good individual players, they are a TEAM. They win because of their massive pressure and teamplay. So i guess i think ur wrong about most of that, Chiles strong points is that they are a team, not that they have an amazing Alexis. |

My predictions:
Group A - Brazil and Mexico - Will be close between Mexico and Croatia but i think Mexico will edge them out.
Group B - Chile and Netherlands - I think Spain will suffer, just a gut feeling. Chile is a great team.
Group C - Colombia and Japan - I just think they are the two best teams, it's a very open group though and i wouldn't be surprised to se either Greece or Ivory Coast go through. Can't see Colombia miss out on top-2 though.
Group D - Italy and Uruguay - Italy is the best team in the group and i think Uruguay will edge England out for 2nd because of "home field" advantage.
Group E - France and Switzerland - France seems to have gotten it together after several years of chaos and Switzerland is a very good team. Ecuador is far from the same team on normal height then they are at home on 3000 meters, they won 0 away games in the qualifier i think.
Group F - Argentina and Bosnia - Argentina should get 9 points here, wide open between Bosnia and Nigeria for second.
Group G - Germany and Portugal - Can't see anything other then this happen.
Group H - Belgium and Russia - Belgium is my clear favorite here then i would say its 60/40 in favor of Russia against South Korea for the second spot. |

wont take more than one point max from the group with Ghana, Portugal and Germany, if there is going to be a surprise i think either Japan or Mexico can go as far as the quarter final.

C: Ivory Coast and Colombia
D: England and Uruguay
E: France and Ecuador
F: Argentina and Bosnia/Herzegovina
G: Germany and Portugal
H: Belgium and South Korea

The Netherlands dropped back to 9th/10th in the Fifa classification just when it counted. Went up the month after(and down again now, I think).
That's why.

Ok. Maybe I underastimate them a bit. But I still think, that Spain and the Netherlands are better.(atleast for NED i hope so )

I'm less confident in the US. Our defense still has a lot to prove. I just hope Klinsman doesn't pick Gonzalez to partner Besler. Leaving Goodson off the roster was a mistake. It should be Besler and Goodson in the center with Cameron on the right and Beasley on the left. Not enough experience at the back in my opinion.
It looks like I'm going to Brazil though. My girlfriend and I are waiting to confirm our game tickets. It might be the game for 3rd place.

I think as long as Falcao's fit, Columbia are in with a shout...
Klinsmann has given USA the same stability Bradley provided- I reckon they can beat Portugal and get to the quarter finals.

I think Croatia can do quite well. Kovacic - Rakitic - Modric is a great midfield trio and they have a solid defence with Srna and Lovren both quality players. Can see them surprising a few people.
Am optimistic that England can sneak out of the group, though it really depends on whether Balotelli and Suarez are in the mood. If Balotelli gets his Euro 2012 form Italy could be a worry. |

People thinking USA have a chance to be anywhere but in 4th place are delusional. Squad filled with bunch of MLS bums with 2 or 3 quality players. |

A: Brazil easily, Croatia just edging out Mexico for second
B: Spain with 9 points. Australia will grab a suprising second place. The Netherlands will finish last with 0 points.
C: Colombia for sure, Ivory Coast best of the rest.
D: England, Uruguay and Italy will be determinated by drawing of lots.
E: France and Switzerland
F: Argentina. Bosnia and Nigeria will figure out second place.
G: Ghana suprises everyone by winning their group. Germany finishes second.
H: Belgium goes through, as well as South Korea.
Oh, and some shameless advertising
