If the race finished now I would be happy, but I'm still, but a very very small hope that Vrecer climbs into 5th. Won't happen tough. |

Hoping for another surprise win in the final few days. Also incredibly dissapointed in Georgiev who is way behind Grashev in GC...
GC still fairly open but each day it looks more and more like Kasechkins

Now Peraud has to do something very special in the ITT (at least), otherwise this may be well our "key" to relegation.

Happy to have another stage under the belt, and with Kashechkins impressive time-trialling form, he just has to hold on for one more mountain stage. Fingers crossed

Big disappointment the provision of Cabrera at this stage ...

No more damage, which is good.
No more points through stage-finishes for a while, which is bad.
One more chance left to do something good. Don't let me down, Peraud

Congrats to Kash, who's had a rather good ManGame career with a couple of Tour de France top tens before a few quiet years. Nice to see him win that elusive 'Grand Tour'
I guess he hasn't won it yet but still he nudges Kiserlowski and Anton down one step.

Vrecer tried and I think that top 10 is certain. He definetelly tried his best tough. |

Stage 18 was superb, this one not so much. Let's see if Kashechkin extends his dominance through the next TT.
Loving the reports, can't have enough of your awesome screenshots roturn

Very relieved after that stage, another stage win, but I don't want to celebrate too early. I have had enough crashes this season to think its won.

While this 9th place wouldn't be a total disaster, its definitely too less, given that we only had two good stage-finishes and 21 race days. Ain't looking good now. Bad timetrial as well. Something we could rely on the whole season... Bad omen?

Really thought i'd drastically overaimed by entering for this race, especially given how the first 90% of my season had turned out, but it seems that the knowledge we're coming to an end has been enough to spur the lads on in an attempt to gain some attention!
Great work Mr Devine, now stay upright tomorrow and bring that KotM jersey home!

Yea Kaisen! Didn't expect that at all. I guess Anton's 3rd week form rubbed off on him. I'll take a podium but I don't know if it's good enough in the grand scheme of things.

Nothing to fear from me, my ToB isn't panning out the right way.
Check out my ManGame team here

8th is very good. But I see points, and my hopes of promotion go down the drain... |

I had hoped that Ratiy would've done better, but I can't be too dissapointed about 6th and youth jersey. Also good with a stage-win from Jaime. Seems like Ratiy started to get into shape late in the race, his climbing got better and better

Massive thanks to roturn for a well reported Tour of America - all three have been decently reported (despite the first being a Pellizotti snooze fest) and it really is building a good rep now mainly because of good reporting I think!
Good racing in the main with much decisive racing, so much in fact that the final mountain stage and TT seemed almost excessive.
LukOil deservedly doomed then I think - Repsol/WWE could have moved forward.

Thanks Smowz.
I have done the ranking file now and did some quick but not guaranteed calculation.
Relegation zone becoming even closer now with Repsol jumping into the same area as Oz Cycling, Cisco, CSC, LukOil, Alstom.
WWE despite having scored more than the most, are still far behind I think and might be doomed as well. They need a huge rush to avoid relegation. Dombrowsky syndrome.
Meiji most likely did climb a bit but can`t feel save now while Amex is back into the relegation battle but might take profit from the Autumn cobbled races the most.
Should be interesting until the very end.
Kashechkin btw. did score more than the 2nd best team in total!!!

Hopefully one year this race will spring a close GC battle. Kirserlovski never really looked like beating Kashechkin. A big risk for Repsol to use 21 of his race days here, but it looks to have paid off.
Thanks for covering it all roturn!

Here a quick relegation zone overview. Except for UPC all teams did participate!
Also note that it`s just the Tour of America points added to the August rankings. No other races in between that time.
20 | 21 | | Meiji - Cannondale | 1963 | 21 | 28 | | Repsol-Cativen | 1896 | 22 | 20 | | Amex Pro Cycling | 1894 | 23 | 26 | | Team CSC-Orbea | 1856 | 24 | 22 | | Alstom-RBC | 1848 | 25 | 23 | | Cisco Cycling Team | 1828 | 26 | 25 | | Oz Cycling Project | 1817 | 27 | 24 | | LukOil-Rostelekom | 1799 | 28 | 27 | | Team UPC - Boehringer-Ingelheim | 1708 | 29 | 29 | | Team WWE | 1494 | 30 | 28 | | PFG-Armavia | 1271 |
Repsol by far with the biggest jump, which might safe them. Meiji and CSC the other "winners" while all other teams probably would have done better without the Tour of America.
Meiji most likely even took profit from Stetina struggling in the hills as their stage wins delivered them more points than a high GC would have done probably.
PFG Armavia and Team WWE look in huge trouble.
Edit: Actually I should have added Swedbank and Pivovarna in there as well as they are also at the 1900 point area. And while Swedbank celebrate a late rush at the moment, Pivovarna must be hugely afaid I guess.
