Mollema and Ten Dam pretty much confirmed today their tdf legs are gone (comments on team site).
Also, I think Valverde and Rodriguez will have problems in the 3rd week. Nibali doesn't seem super yet but he might be the most consistent in the end. Moreno however is very strong atm |

Great victory of Moreno I think he is and he will be the leader of Katusha. I'm a little sad for Roche he fought very well for his jersey. Even if Nibali seems at the top of his shape he has only 20 seconds late. |

Moreno has done good on short steep climbs but come big mountains I bet Purito will be their man. Also stage 10 profile will suit likes of Basso/Nibali/Valverde/Purito. |

He has indeed. But he is still looking good going into stage 10. Roche still has something left. And is only 1 second back...I see an attack coming.
Horner is shocking me. Yes he is in 5th now, but seems to have the fittness to do well. And he isnt a youngster.
Plenty of good riding to come. A couple stages this week are going to set the top 5-6 GC riders apart. This should be the Tour of Climbing this year.
Pain,Agony,Suffering...Thats why I love cycling!

Yep, i should write an e-mail to Czech cycling union, maybe they can cover the costs for me and they will keep on winning.
Anyway i am back and very pleased to see this outcome obviously, what a close wins for both Styby and Leo, nice rewards for their gutsy attacks, we are rolling right now! Hopefully König will continue to fight for top10 in GC, this is a dream GT debut so far.
Kreuziger seems like taking it easy and saving himself for some stage in the last week maybe (or today?). Roche is doing great for them, however he should drop down places in harder mountain stages.
Moreno?
I had no chance to check everything so far, can somebody please give me a little intel on who crashed or disappointed so far? I see Nibali is close for third week surge, Purito and Valverde are in defense mode and Basso is dangerous again, what about Colombians?

Moreno, Konig, Roche, Santaromita and Barguil seem to be in awesome form. Valverde, Purito, Basso and Horner look decent enough. Nibali will need a few more stages, but should be very strong in the 3rd week.
Pinot, Uran, Henao and Majka are somewhere in between. They all looked decent to Peñas Blancas, but got dropped on the descent yesterday. Sánchez and Anton also belong to this category. They lost a lot of time on the first MTF, but seem to have improved since then.
Mollema, Ten Dam, Kreuziger and Nieve look tired from the Tour and are out of the GC. Finally, Betancur is totally off and currently sits 188th overall, an hour and a half behind Moreno.

Betancur started the Vuelta 5kg too heavy don't expect him anywhere anymore.
Btw today could be the day we see either Purito or Valverde crack. The after Tour effect you know... |

Bart De Clercq out. He crashed in the neutralised zone after the start and has abandoned.

DNF De Clercq, Boivin, Losada & Markus. Zubeldia is hurt, König sick and suffering. Not a nice day so far. |

He's already way back. Was never going to be a factor in the GC anyway.
More surprisingly, Zubeldia and Barguil are already dropped

I'd say more surprisingly Zubeldia Iriziar and Kiserlovski dropped by Cancellara
