The answer is simple. Don't get attached to the character, get attached to the situations you put him through to make him a better character.
I have a love/hate relationship with Travis. For me that helps make the story better.

Anyone here become proficient in Cya-logic yet?
I have now spent over 10 hours (total) editing "The Comeback" save because of bad transfers between the 2015-16 season. It's remarkable and I'm not even close to being done yet. So many free agents didn't get contracts and the new sponsors that came in were awful.
On the bright side this is the longest time I have spent editing a DB and haven't made a stupid mistake to crash the save yet.
So if the episodes are coming at a slower pace... this is the main reason why.
Well that, or Uni, or Survivor, or other earthly things. I'm a busy man.

There is nothing worse than when you are editing the database, it takes soooo long |

Someone remember tsmoha's Team Dark Dog story some years ago?
I've been thinking about doing a story quite similar to Team Dark Dog. You know starting out with a team of free riders, and then build it up.
Only problem, my graphics aren't that good, so the screenshots isn't the best quality. |

If the writing's good, which it was in J.O. - the screenshot quality is just a bonus feature

Ok, if I make the story, the screenshots will be jpg files. That way my old rusty computer should also be able to load them quickly.
Bu this time it won't contain the word Russia... |

They should ALWAYS be jpg files. Never use png in a story, makes the webpage way too slow.

Calling anyone with some spare time!
I am looking to start up a new project (oops i gave away Karl a bit there ) and need some help. My laptop doesn't really do 3D mode with graphics anymore (at least without a 15minute load time and 3 crashes). If you can run 3D mode with graphics (just 1 on everything would do) and have a couple of free hours a week i could use your help.
Obviously i don't want to give too much away publicly yet, but all it would require was 1-3 stages a week with minimal reporting (break, major action points and results, 2-3 images at most). Also doesn't have to be PCM13 either, anything from PCM10 onwards is fine by me, even 09 at a push.
If you are interested drop me a clearly titled PM (i get a lot these days so a good title i crucial) and i'll get back to you asap.

Finally decided to have one last go at a story, after taking a break since my Rodriguez story stopped. One rider stories definitely aren't for me, so will return with a team story I think when the Daily DB comes out.
Currently writing out a couple of the opening posts, and very excited to get it going. Hopefully it can be my best one yet. |

Reached my Photobucket broadband limit for the 3rd time in my story writing career... At least it will be reset on Monday so I won't have to deal with the "You are popular" grey boxes for very long.
So, sorry for the inconvenience they my cause. Nothing I can do but wait until Monday for the pictures to comeback. In the meantime I might switch over to my secondary accounts so I can keep posting pictures but to keep my files organized I think it will be better to wait things out.

Can't you use a second account?
I think that will work. |

I'd have to move all the pictures over which isn't feasible. But I could still use my secondary account to continue posting if need be.

I was thinking something like this.
When the first account is full, start uploading pictures into the second one.
While it's getting filled up, the first account will reset itself.
Then when the second account has been filled up, you go back to the first one.
It's like a loop. |

I could but I have all my files organized nicely into folders and by using two accounts everything gets mixed up and things get lost in the confusion. I already moved my siggys over so I could at least post without the boxes showing up.
The account resets on Monday so some Survivor stuff will probably have to moved over but The Comeback stuff I really don't want to mess up my file locations so that might have to wait. Unless you guys beg me and I might consider moving S14E1 over onto the secondary account and move it back to my main account on Monday.

I didn't see it coming, but the stage I just played was the greatest one in my story writing history Except maybe Van Gent's first Paris - Roubaix victory.
Riding the first mountain stage with Vergnaud was just an amazing experience. A battle of wits with a group of 5. Then there were 4...3... Really amazing Too bad I couldn't win, though |

Planning to start a one-rider story that won't be anything new, but something pretty cool with special graphics made for it.
Now , just waiting 2014 DB and i can start. Quite excited, since it's going to be my first story.

Yeah, was a nice stage.
And i also think i know who i might write a story about when PCM 14 comes out. If CCN Gios Cycling Team will be included in the FCD or another db with a lot of Asian races that is.

Meanwhile, for the 100th time, I'm considering starting a story when the 2014 DB comes out.
Got 4 possibilites, whom 1 short story and 3 long ones.
But well, it's just consideration atm. I've got enough time to decide on it
